Prime Picks

Switched at Birth (ABC Family): New. Daphne goes to a fundraiser for the clinic. Toby attempts to tutor Sharee to keep her on the field hockey team. Plays again later. Last week’s episode, “Dance Me to the End of Love,” replays right before.

Being Human (Syfy): New. Sally wants to find Donna so she can get sent back to the future from where she came. Plays again later. How great was last week’s episode? Well, tonight’s episode builds on that quite well and lands Sally in an interesting place. Can’t wait to see how they are going to end things? Will you be sad to see this show go?

Teen Wolf (MTV): New. Scott and Lydia are working together. Stilinski deals with the review board. Last week’s episode, “The Fox and the Wolf,” replays right before.

Solid Selections

How I Met Your Mother (CBS): New. Marshall wants Ted and Barney to help him figure out where Lily went after walking out during their argument. Runs 30 minutes.

Dallas (TNT): New. Bobby attempts to stop John Ross. Christopher finds out something about Nicolas. Emma is causing trouble. Runs 61 minutes. Plays twice.

Believe (NBC): Series Premiere. A man that was wrongfully accused of murder and has spent 10 years in jail is broken out on the day he was scheduled to be put to death. He is then tasked with keeping a young girl with special abilities safe. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 59 minutes. Liked this first episode well enough and think there is potential, but need to see a couple more episodes. I was not completely drawn in by the way the characters are introduced. You do get an idea by the end about what each episode will entail, which works pretty well. But, not enough information about the two dueling groups. One is trying to keep the girl safe and the other wanting her for her abilities. Hopefully, we will get more on that in the next episode when it moves to its regular timeslot this Sunday. Are you looking forward to tonight’s premiere?

Monday is slowly becoming a big night for non-pay television shows while Sunday continues to be dominated by HBO and Showtime. The Following, Dallas, and Bates Motel are my personal picks for Mondays. The Following I was skeptical about going in for season two but has exceeded expectations. I’m yet to have a verdict on Bates but Season one was a pleasant surprise and the first two episodes of this season have been really good.
