News & Notes
On cable tonight, FX has the first season finale of Fargo, TNT has the fifth season premiere of Rizzoli & Isles and the third season premiere of Perception, and USA Network has the first season finale of Playing House.
Prime Picks
Pretty Little Liars (ABC Family): New. Aria is haunted by the past while the rest of the gang try to adjust to the new normal. Alison is suspicious of her family. Plays again later two times. Last week’s episode, “EscApe From New York,” replays right before.
Chasing Life (ABC Family): New. April decides to try and hide the news of her cancer diagnosis while working on a new story. Plays again later. Last week’s series premiere episode, “Pilot,” episode replays earlier this evening. Did you watch last week? What did you think? It’s a really good little show that’s worth checking out the first two episodes tonight if you didn’t.
Playing House (USA Network): New. Maggie deals with her regular doctor being away, which ruins her birthing plan. Runs 31 minutes. Plays again later.
Playing House (USA Network): Season Finale. Emma questions her place while Maggie takes care of her baby. Runs 31 minutes. Plays again later.
Other Options
- Brooklyn Nine-Nine (FOX): Repeats. The “Pilot” and “The Vulture” episodes replay.
- Fargo (FX): Season Finale. Molly takes the lead while Gus pursues a hunch and Lester attempts to manipulate the situation. Runs 92 minutes. Plays three times.
- Game of Thrones (HBO): Repeat. This past Sunday night’s fourth season finale episode, “The Children,” replays. Runs 75 minutes. Plays again later.
- Penny Dreadful (Showtime): Repeat. This past Sunday night’s episode, “What Death Can Join Together,” replays.
- Perception (TNT): Season Premiere. Dr. Pierce gets approached while in Paris to help with an international case. Lewicki and Dean Haley work to get Pierce his job back at the college. Plays again later. Still really like watching Eric McCormack as Dr. Pierce, but the rest of the show is still a mediocre procedural.
- Rizzoli & Isles (TNT): Season Premiere. Jane and the squad investigate the murder of a jogger and the disappearance of her child. Jane tries to keep the news of her pregnancy from her mother. Plays again later. If you like this show, your will continue to like this show. The show deals with the loss of Det. Barry Frost, played by Lee Thompson Young who committed suicide last year, at the end of this episode and in next week’s episode.
- Royal Pains (USA Network): New. Hank tries to help out a tennis star. Hank and Evan deal with the news from last week. Plays again later.
