Michael Rapaport and Edward Burns of TNT’s Public Morals
In this episode we preview TNT’s new ’60s era cop drama Public Morals from creator, director, executive producer and writer Edward Burns (Mob City). It also stars Michael Rapaport (Justified), Elizabeth Masucci (Inside Amy Schumer), Katrina Bowden (30 Rock) and many other recognizable faces like Timothy Hutton (American Crime, Leverage), Brian Dennehy, Neal McDonough (Suits, Boomtown), Robert Knepper (Texas Rising, Prison Break) and Ruben Santiago-Hudson (Castle).
The show is set against the back drop of early 1960s New York City and a group of plain clothes police officers from the Public Morals division that are tasked with keeping things like gambling, prostitution and other vices under wraps. The show has a similar feel to the short-lived Mob City that was also on TNT and also starred Burns, Knepper and McDonough, as it is a period piece about cops and mobsters.
