Watch Red Oaks via Amazon Prime VideoOn this episode we preview Amazon Prime’s new dramedy Red Oaks. It stars Craig Roberts (Submarine film), Richard Kind (Spin City, Mad About You), Jennifer Grey (Dirty Dancing film), Ennis Esmir (The Listener, The L.A. Complex), Gage Golightly (Teen Wolf), Josh Meyers (The Awesomes, That 70s Show), Alexandra Socha (Royal Pains) and Paul Reiser (Married, Mad About You).

Red Oaks is a coming-of-age dramedy about a 20-year-old assistant tennis pro at the Red Oaks Country Club in suburban New Jersey in the summer of 1985. He is dealing with some recent revelations in his family life and the pressure his father is putting on him to follow in his footsteps and study to be an accountant. While on the job at the club he comes in contact with many wacky co-workers and wealthy club members and hijinks ensue, as he tries to enjoy one last hurrah before the end of summer and the beginning the future.

While Red Oaks would seem to be right up my alley, this one didn’t quite clip the line and landed out. Although, I may volley a couple more episodes to see, as I did like the cast and the setting.
