Quantico (ABC): New. In the past, the NATS deal with an explosive midterm. In the present, Alex ends up with more questions than answers in her search to clear her name.

Solid Selections

Madam Secretary (CBS): New. Elizabeth deals problems in Syria, which means she has to recall all aid workers from there that includes her brother. Henry deals with a problem involving Dimitri.

The Walking Dead (AMC): New. The remaining residents of Alexandria deal with the aftermath of recent events. Runs 62 minutes. Plays again later three times. Last week’s episode, “Here’s Not Here,” replays right before and the previous episode, “Thank You,” right before that.

Talking Dead (AMC): New. The fifth episode of season six is discussed. Starts two minutes after the hour and runs 59 minutes. Plays again later two times.

Other Options

  • Agent X (TNT): Series Premiere. Two episodes play. In the first, the new Vice President learns of a top secret agent that is in her employ and he is tasked with saving the kidnapped daughter of the FBI. In the second, John has to work with an enemy to stop the sale of some nuclear warheads. Runs two hours. Both play again later. This show is not good, but it’s not good in that kind of fun way that Scorpion is, where it comes across as unintentionally funny. I’ve watched the first four and its goofy fun, but it has no idea that it is. For more on the show, check out my spoiler-free Agent X preview.
