Prime Picks

The Simpsons (FOX): New. Homer gets fired because of a picture Marge posts on a social media site. Lisa develops a new app. Runs 30 minutes.
Ash vs Evil Dead (Starz): Repeat. Last night’s first season finale episode, “The Dark One,” replays. Starts 10 minutes after the half hour and runs 40 minutes. Plays right before and again later twice.

The Royals (E!): New. The royal family’s history gets called into question. Plays again later two times. The previous three episodes replay earlier this morning.

Other Options

  • Bordertown (FOX): Series Premiere. An animated comedy about two culturally and ethnically different families who live next door to each other near the U.S.-Mexican border that just is not funny at all. It basically takes the things I like least about a show like Family Guy and amps them up. Follows Family Guy and runs 30 minutes.
  • Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life (FOX): Series Premiere. A group of twenty-somethings get in over their heads a lot and we are supposed to learn from their mistakes. Follows The Simpsons and runs 30 minutes. Too bad it isn’t very funny and the lead isn’t nearly as charming as he thinks he is or needs to be. I do applaud trying to change things up from the present standard storytelling style, but the execution isn’t very good. For more check out my Cooper Barrett spoiler-free preview.
