Prime Picks

The Flash (The CW): Repeat. The third episode of season two, “Family or Rogues,” replays.

Containment (The CW): New. Dr. Cannerts makes a breakthrough. Jake and Katie find out more about patient zero. Jana and Suzy plan to use the tunnels to get out.

Person of Interest (CBS): New. Reese and Shaw try to find and help Finch after he infiltrates a maximum security government facility in an attempt to take down Samaritan.

Other Options

  • Animal Kingdom (TNT): Series Premiere. Two episodes play. In the first, a teen loses his mother to drugs and goes to live with his grandmother and uncles. They just happen to be a group of thieves living in a surfside community. He ends up in the middle of all there problems. Runs 64 minutes. In the second, the family’s latest heist doesn’t go as planned and brings lots of heat. Things begin to spin out of control as family rivalries rear up while they try to clean up any loose ends. Stars four minutes after the hour and runs 57 minutes. Both play again later. Great cast, but predictable story. Nothing really interesting happens and there wasn’t a character, even the kid Cody, that I wanted to keep following and learn more about. In this close family with no secrets, would you believe everybody has one and sometimes more? Also, there were just some things that didn’t make sense. For me, two was enough. Will you be joining the Animal Kingdom tonight?
  • Outlander (Starz): Repeat. This past Saturday night’s episode, “Prestonpans,” replays. Plays again later.
  • Silicon Valley (HBO): Repeat. This past Sunday night’s episode, “Bachman’s Earning’s Over-Ride,” replays.
  • Uncle Buck (ABC): Series Premiere. Two episodes play. In the first, Will’s brother Buck is their last option to watch the kids, but his unconventional problem solving skills almost cause more problems than they solve. In the second, Buck helps Maizy come out of her shell to sell her Sunny Scout cookies and take the top spot. Found some of it to be a bit over the top, but mostly I just didn’t find it funny. Will you be checking this one out tonight?
  • Wrecked (tbs): Series Premiere. Two episodes play. In the first, which is a straight up Lost parody, the survivors of a commercial airline crash try to figure out how to get rescued. In the second, one of the passengers finds a satellite phone and another confronts some fears from his past. Both play again later. Not sure why, because parody is usually right in my wheelhouse, but didn’t find this funny either. I think I laughed once in the second episode. If you like Angie Tribeca, you might like this as well. This is styled very similarly comedy-wise with sight gags, easy misunderstandings and such. I’ll watch a couple more. Are you planning on getting Wrecked tonight?

Sports Note

  • MLB Network has a game today and another tonight.

Late Night

  • Game of Thrones (HBO): Repeat. This past Sunday night’s episode, “No One,” replays. Plays earlier this evening.
  • Veep (HBO): Repeat. This past Sunday night’s episode, “Camp David,” replays.
