Tonight on the Tube: NFL Playoffs and NBC Reruns

Riddell Replica Seattle Seahawks Mini HelmetTwo NFL Playoff games are on today. That will be what I am watching. Especially the Seahawks and the Redskins in the first game of the day on FOX. Hopefully the Hawks can finally win a playoff game this year. That would be great and with home field advantage maybe they can get it done. If playoff football doesn’t do it for you, you could always watch some NBC reruns or some figure skating. If neither of those ideas works then you might as well rent a movie or go out and do something, as TV on Saturday night is a terrible thing.

Prime Picks

Crossing Jordan (NBC): Jordan tries to get a prison’s health care system upgraded as the company running the program is providing some very bad care in this repeat.

Medium (NBC): Allison gets one of those annoying songs stuck in her head and finally realizes that it might be a clue to the whereabouts of a missing coed in this repeat.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC): Det. Stabler works with a CSU tech on the remains of a boy found at a construction site. They turn out to be the remains of a boy who went missing 30 years ago. Repeat.

Solid Selections

Cops (FOX): A Florida police officer responds to a call by a citizen about a man who he came in contact with that had a gun and claimed to have robbed a bank.
Cops (FOX): Repeat episode.

America’s Most Wanted: America Fights Back (FOX): A former thief helps the FBI nab a group of thieves that have gotten away with millions in watches and jewelry.

No third hour selection tonight.

Other Options

Figure Skating – State Farm U.S. Championships (ABC): Coverage of the women’s free skate from St. Louis. Runs three hours. The men’s free skate is shown earlier in the day.

Cable Choices

World Poker Tour (Travel Channel): Repeat of the Bicycle Casino’s Legends of Poker tournament with a prize pool of $1.5 million. Runs two hours.

Wild Weddings (TLC): Some super bloopers and strange occurrences that happened during weddings.

Sports Notes

In NFL action FOX has my hometown Seattle Seahawks facing off against the Washington Redskins who beat them earlier this season but are playing here this time at Qwest Field. Later CBS has the defending Superbowl champion New England Patriots at the Denver Broncos.

ESPN has third round coverage of the Sony Open in Hawaii with Jim Furyk and Chad Campbell tied for the lead at six under.
