Well, after Monday and Tuesday in this night-by-night look at the Fall 2010 TV season, all I can say is TGIW. Wednesday is the midweek break that I need to catch up with all the stuff from the previous two nights.
For me, there isn’t much to watch on Wednesdays, as I’m only looking at five hours of TV on the night, but with watching via DVR or On Demand we’re closer to four. Yes, there is a lot of TBDs in the table below, but I’m already leaning towards no on most of them.
On the new TV front, ABC’s Better Together is full of actors I like, but not being give much in the way of the funny, and I haven’t seen the Maura Tierney version of The Whole Truth yet, but unless they changed more than her I don’t think it’s going to be making my list. CBS’ Defenders might have the best shot of getting on my schedule, as it’s not great, but it was fun. To me it splits the difference between a serious legal drama like The Practice and the absurdist Boston Legal. The CW’s Hellcats is the type of show that I may end up secretly watching, so I’m giving it a couple more episodes to find out. NBC’s Law & Order: Lost Angeles has a stellar cast, but I don’t see that being enough to get me to watch more than the first installment. I do plan on watching Undercovers even though I was under whelmed by the “Pilot.” It could get good, but mostly there isn’t anything else in the hour until Lie to Me returns to FOX in November.

Key Explanation: The grid above is marked for shows I will watch live (Watch Live), record on my dual-tuner DVR (DVR), record on my computer with my dual-tuner Beyond TV setup (DVR2), watch via cable on demand (On Demand), record a replay on my DVR, (DVR Replay), and shows that I don’t know enough about and are yet to be determined whether I will want to watch them (TBD). Things get viewed based on how they are available to me. Since most CBS, NBC and cable shows are available On Demand the following day via my cable carrier that can affect when they get watched as opposed to other shows that aren’t.
