Alec Hardison – one crazy computer geek
what a hard choice. they are all so brilliant. i will go with Parker, because she is so dry sometimes, and quirky. but Hardison is an extremely close second.
Hardison: mostly from the episode where he uses gummy frogs to simulate the electrical pulse from a fingerprint.
Second: Parker, because she was awesome!
Hardison because he’s hilarious and brilliant.
Eliot Spencer, because his character can be anybody. And he hits a lot people!
That’s a difficult question, and my knee jerk reaction answer would likely be Eliot, because it was Christian Kane that drew me to Leverage in the first place.
Eliot is, on the surface, a simple character…the hitter, the go-to guy when things get rough, but as the show progressed we got inklings that there was a lot more to Eliot under the angry exterior.
Parker. There’s a small, fast moment in The Wedding Job that sold me on her. It’s when she’s trying on a bridesmaids dress. She’s clearly not comfortable in girly clothes. He pays her a compliment and Parker just doesn’t know how to react — nobody has ever told her that she looks nice. Beth just sells that moment.
Eliot Spencer — He can kick a$$,cook, sing and look hot all at the same time
Parker, she fooled everyone to think she crazy, plus for her to trust the team was a big step. For her to love Hardison made her grow up! I still miss the next season
My favorite Leverage Character is Eliot. There were so many layers to him… He was the Hitter…the muscle, but as the seasons unfolded you realized he had a love for children and a deep hatred for those who would cause them harm. He was loyal and deeply protective of his friends and was wicked smart. Also, the fact that he was easy on the eyes didn’t hurt. :P
Parker because over the course of the series I feel she had the most interesting arc in terms of how much her character grew and changed.
My choice is Eliot Spencer. Over the five seasons we have watched Eliot go from straight mercenary, to reluctant hero, to big brother. Eliot was always used to working alone, never needing help from anyone. If there was a job to do he did it no questions asked. Throughout the series we watched Eliot grow and sometimes saw his softer side. He would do whatever it took to keep the team safe, despite the damage to himself. In the end they were his family. Not very much is know about his back story as only glimpses were given so there is a whole more to Eliot than we could ever realize. However, every time you watch you do learn a little more about him, things you might not have noticed the first go around, but they stand out the more and more you watch. I think Christian Kane did an excellent job bringing this complex, funny, angry and heartwarming character to life.
Christian Kane’s character Eliot Spencer is fav Leverage character because of his strong but silent personna, his way with the ladies, & he is so handsome.
I love Christian Kane as Eliot but my all time favorite was Nate. With everything he went through from losing his wife and son he still had a heart big enough to put together this team of misfits and make them a family.
Eliot Spencer, he is intelligent, tolerant, strong, can kick it hard but not prone to violence, lets others think they are helping him when he can do it all himself and he is the sexiest man on the planet. :)
Eliot Spencer is my favorite Leverage character not because he is so good looking or talented or “manly ” but because he is the most “human” of the group
I’ve not seen every episode (working on that) but have seen enough to witness Eliot grow from a one dimension tuff-man, seemingly entirely self-sufficient and functioning simply for himself to a man who places himself last as a priority. We’ve watched him walk away, only to come back. We’ve watched him come to depend on the very ones he originally scoffed at in the beginning; we’ve watched him take the role of hitter and weave it into the role of cherished, valued friend.
#ChristianKane as Eliot Spencer is my favorite character on #Leverage . He is such a super actor/stuntman/singer he fit perfectly into the role of Eliot. He was able to bring the character of Eliot Spencer to life with seemingly effortlessness. He was just made for this part. No matter what the scene called for, what the con called for he was able to bring it to life. The Hitter, protector, teacher and many more.. Eliot was able to fit into every situation he was put in, whether the tough guy whippimg up on someone or the guard of young girl teaching her how to pop carnival balloons or making sure a young boy was protected from an abusive father.
I absolutely love all the characters of Leverage, but Eliot is hands down my very favorite. Christian Kane brought Eliot to life. He can say so much with just an expression or with his eyes. I know Eliot is supposed to be tough, but he is also hilarious and has a soft side. I do love all the fight scenes when Eliot kicks butt. However, the moment that stole my heart and soul was in The Studio Job when Eliot was singing. I will never forget it. The many cooking scenes/references with Eliot were also priceless. Thank you Dean Devlin, John Rogers, Chris Downy, and Leverage.
My favorite character was Elliott. He was the “hitter”, but he was not as tough as you’d imagine when they managed to crack his shell a bit. He could cook too!
I think that there are many (mainly females) out there who will agree with my favourite, and that is Eliot Spencer (and no, not JUST because Christian Kane is drop dead gorgeous either :P). I think it’s easy to see Eliot as just a hitter, but there is so much more to him than that. He has this troubled past (well, okay, they all do in a way) but I feel like his is more inferred with the way he talks to the victims and empathizes with them rather than shown in the way that Parker or Nate’s or any of the other’s is. There’s the troubled relationship with his father, the fondness of the little town that he grew up in. And then of course, his love life. Leaving the love of his life for the military, only to be betrayed by his government. He may come across as a grumpy, scowling cowboy cassanova with a revolving door on his bedroom (and in many ways, he is), but there’s a depth to him, something that I think only really develops when he joined the Leverage Inc. team. He finally has a family. He teaches Sophie how to fight better. He’s always there when they need him. He’s always yelling at Hardison but there’s a real bromance there, really shown the time that Hardison is buried alive and the way Eliot hugs him when he’s out. He may be a manly man with the voice of an angel and the Texan locks of a sex god, but there’s a caring for his team in there. They know that they are safe with Eliot Spencer watching their backs. The Leverage team is a balance, that need all members to pull off a full-scale successful scam, you take one away and the rest fall apart. And don’t get me wrong, each aspect that the others add to it is vastly important, but I wonder how far they would get without Eliot there to take out the forces that try to stop them and let them get on with their jobs. So there is my answer. Eliot Spencer is my favourite Leverage character because of his heart, soul, mind, body and skill.
I’m going with Eliot. Even though he comes off gruff and sometimes uncaring he has a heart of gold and will do anything for his “family”
I’d have to say Eliot Spencer. His range of entertainment amazes me, from awe to hysterical. His fight scenes keep me glued to the screen, and his facial expressions sometime get to the point that I find myself laughing (sometimes after he just beat the hell out of someone), and sometimes just interacting with the rest of the team. His character is magic to me. He spans the scope of drama to comedy and does both so well. And watching him cook and flip the knives .. makes me want to take cooking lessons! Oh, and he is beyond easy to look at!!!
Nate Ford is my favorite Leverage character, smart, complex and even though he walks the line between good and evil, he delivers justice with a brief glimpse of the loyalty, compassion, humility and grace you sense is always there, lying just beneath the surface of his broken, vengeful exterior.
Eliot is my fav character. He can kick some butt & sing. Not to mention his facial expression say so much without him saying a word. He’s a hard ass on the outside but on the inside he’s just a teddy bear :-)
I loved all the characters, but my favorite was Nate Ford. I really liked the way all the characters were like family and it was a very good show to watch as a family. I think the special guests were great as well. A big thank you to all that made Leverage an awesome show.
My favorite is Eliot. Christian Kane brought Eliot to life. At the beginning Eliot’s sole job was Hitter. No questions asked and no emotions shown. Then he showed the many different aspects of his complex personality. Eliot loved to help the underdog. Women, children and the elderly held a large part of his heart, which I believe even surprised Eliot at times. He seemed overwhelmed by his anger toward those who hurt those people or those he cared for. We were just getting to know Eliot as well as the other characters when the show ended. Christian Kane played so many different characters while playing Eliot. Eliot was cute, funny and very sexy.
I love all of them. Eliot Spenser is my favorite he is thier protector. He is intense and fun. He is gentle and protective with kids. His relationship with Parker is priceless they fight like siblings and how tells her crazy stuff and like any little sister she believes him. Eliot’s relationship with Hardison really cracks me up. Damn it Hardison! And you can’t forget his Clint Eastwood style one liners. We’d be the calvary ma’am. And my all time favorite what smells like crank and screams like a girl ! I miss leverage so much.
Sophie Devereaux because she awesome person, the best grifter & sooo beautiful woman!!!
Of course Sophie! Because – Who dont loves Sophie? She is mystery character, beautiful woman and always so nice and yeah best grifter !
My favorite character from Leverage is Parker. She’s tough, crazy, and scary, but also has a sweet, vulnerable side which came out once she realized she was safe with these guys. Also she’s just plain hilarious in the way she doesn’t quite get how to act like a human. I will never stop delighting in how thrilled she always is to get to jump off of ridiculous heights, or how excited she was for Christmas and snow, or the way she almost never entered a scene like a normal person, and the way her relationship with Hardison blossomed at exactly the right pace for both characters. Beth Riesgraf played her so perfectly at all times ~ she was and still is the absolute best actress for Parker.
Actually I of course love them all but I really have 2 favorites, Eliot and Parker. I really like Eliot because he’s so multifaceted. He doesnt take guff from anyone but he’s still as sweet as can be and he loves to cook…among other things. But i do have to, sometimes reluctantly, say Parker is my favorite character. She had a really hard childhood, which I can somewhat relate to, and even though her talent and training gave her a illegal career when she joined the team she was able to start empathizing with other people and grow personally. After a while Parker learned that she can come out of her shell because there are people that really do care for/about her and would never abandon her, something else I can relate to.
It is SO hard to choose between characters, as they all had terrific “moments in the sun”. As a geek myself I always leaned towards Alec Hardison! He has so many of the quirks I would have were I in his shoes. Great sense of humor, loyal to the core, a romantic at heart (RIP his favorite girl Lucille! LOL), but more often than not the guy who would come up with something to save the day. Loved his interplay with Wil Wheaton’s “Chaos”, and was surprised at his skill with the violin! He was a dash MacGyver, with a pinch of Houdini and a sprig of Billy Dee Williams! The final dish was superb, and Aldis gets mad props for making him what he was!
Eliot Spencer- because he represents the kind of person that society needs. Someone who will fight to the breaking point to help someone in need. And in his own way he loves and respects that crew to the point of being like family to him.
Eliot Spencer….. Love the tough guy with a heart!!
My favorite Leverage character is Nate because he would do ANYTHING for his crew. He just wasn’t always very good at figuring out what that should be. He did eventually learn, though.
Hardison- he’s the man….. a computer geek with a heart of gold who gets the bad @$$ rope dangling thief gal of his dreams. He is quick with a quip and the knowledge to get the job done.
I love them all for different reasons! But, I’d say Christian Kane as Eliot Spencer!! The way Eliot was portrayed just made you love him! You watched every episode to just maybe get a glimpse of his smile, his humor and his skills!! Most of the time you could tell his mood by his facial expressions. But, those humorous moments were so precious! Then when in season 3, The Studio Job, that’s what made Eliot the favorite….his wonderful singing voice! At first I thought it was dubbed….when I found out he had been singing for years…one of his many talents…I started wondering what else was in store for the viewers!!! I really hate picking just one…the whole damned team had their own special traits that I loved!!!!
Hardison because he is sweet, caring and uber intelligent.
All of them, BUT since so many have already said Eliot (Christian Kane) I am going to say Parker (Beth Riesgraf) is the most original character I have ever seen on my tv screen, she is quirky and fun, so complex and dented by life that you cannot help but fall in love with her character. She is acted flawlessly by Beth who sold the role from day one of the odd and yet endearing Parker with a person none of us expected lurking below the surface, it was so much fun watching her grow and flourish over the 5 season run. Going to miss this show so much!!!
Nate Ford, because it wasn’t just that he was the mastermind if the group. He brought the group together by making the a team and making them find the things inside each of the crew that made them good and pushed them to be better.
Eliott Spencer. Loyal, wise, strength, sacrifice, honest, smart, badass all in one nicely wrapped package
My favorite Leverage character is Nate and my second is Sophie. I love them together and I think they have great chemistry.
My favorite character has to be Parker. Her backstory is emotional and compelling. If a character can make me cry they way she did in The Stork Job then I’m in love. But there’s also an immense growth that her character goes through that leads her to being where she is at the end and makes me sad that we’ll never get to see how great she’d become as a team player and leader.
My favorite character is the multi-faceted, complex, hitter, Eliot Spencer. From his mysterious, complicated past, to his new family, Christian Kane brought this character to life. Kane portrayed this character with strength, humor, humility, and did it with so much love that you just know, this was his role of a lifetime.
First and foremost, I Really Love the entire cast, the are all phenomenal in very different ways. But if I have to pick one over the rest of the others it would have to be “Parker” her personality was so different than any other character, EVER! She was childlike, awkward, Brite, Calculating, Carring, athletic, playful, and above all things totally unaware that the world did not process things the way she did!
Like many others, it’s a tough choice, these talented Leverage actors portrayed so many layers and facets to their characters–they were all great. Because you make me choose, I’d have to say Elliot like so many others, because I’d love to have a friend like Elliot…he’s the man who takes care of things…he doesn’t question or second guess. He’s there when you need him. One of my most favorite of Elliot lines was in The Bank Shot Job when Nate and Sophie were being held hostage, and Elliot asked Nate, “You want me in there?” In spite of the odds, had he said yes, Elliot would’ve been there. Who doesn’t need someone like that!
Hard to choose, but I pick Hardison. As a computer geek myself, I only wish I was at least half as talented. And it was great watching his character mature over the course of the show, but never lose that sense of fun.
Hands Down, Alec Hardison, due to his quirky quotes that continued to develop throughout the seasons… And stuck with fans like myself… He had an air about himself that grew as his character did, that was both affectionate and geeky as a true geek of today is… Fiddly?…lol… or …See, you know… a bully’s just a cowboy with low self-esteem…lol…
It’s impossible to pick just one! Eliot, because he’s just so darn capable (and a mystery); Hardison, because he’s so unabashedly geeky; Parker, because she’s crazy and she owns it.
My favorite Leverage character is Eliot Spencer and not just because of the incredibly talented Christian Kane! At first Eliot was just the muscle and that’s fine with me – I love a good fight scene. But little by little Eliot proved to be much more than that- smart, funny, loyal, dedicated, sensitive and inspiring. The way he protected the team and those adorable kids who were in danger as well as the various clients showed his heart was as big as his brawn. He became as clever a con man as anyone else! He showed us that a tough guy could be witty and charming and human as well. Eliot is definitely my favorite!
I would have to say Eliot is my favorite character because even thought he is the tough guy he’s got a gigantic heart. I would have loved to actually have gotten to see him reconcile with his estranged father at the end of The Big Box Store Job aka (The Walmart Job). Sorry I couldn’t help it. It was nice to actually get some background info on the Eliot Character too bad we will never know who he really his. So sad to see this show come to an end.
LEVERAGE was a fun show and I was disappointed when it ended. My favorite character was Elliot. I enjoyed watching his character develop and grow over the show’s 5 year run. He became more than just a hitter- his kindness and caring for others shone through the gruff exterior.
Elliot for his funny attitude
My favorite character would definitely be Eliot Spencer. Because of the way Christian Kane brings his personal talents to the role of Eliot. He is a skilled fighter like a zen master. The way he prefers hand-to-hand combat to guns, despite his excellent marksman skills. He’d rather disable his opponents than kill them. Also his surprising talent as a gourmet chef, who claims to grow his own food. Not to mention his amazing vocal talents. The way he made the team his family though as tough as an exterior can be for a hitter he is actually human and has feelings.
I go back and forth between Parker and Hardison for my favorite character, but if I *had* to choose, Parker wins it by teeeeny margin. Beth just did such an amazing job with her character over the years, and it made Parker so much more than just the “crazy” thief with a love of repelling off buildings. I don’t know, I just really love her, and I miss this whole crew on my tv!
eliot spencer of coarse is there anyone else in it lol ,thats why i watch it love christain kane , enough said ;) (its a fab show so bring it back )
My favorite character in Leverage is Eliot Spencer played by Christian Kane. Eliot is a unique hitter who doesn’t like guns, though he clearly knows how to use them. Christian Kane brought so much fighting talent to the character that each fight is unique and often has a sense of humor that reminds me of Jackie Chan. With Kane doing his own fights the viewer can be drawn in close to the action. While the whole Leverage team has difficult pasts, Eliot is most haunted by his. Serving his country under extreme circumstances he lost himself, became numb and just kept moving ahead with the work – wet work. It hooks my heart that while changing his path, Eliot never thinks he will be clean of the things he has done. Eliot is now foremost the protector and his attachment to his new family is fierce. While we haven’t learned a lot about Eliot’s past we have had big revels of unknown talents he shares with Christian Kane, like cooking and singing. You should never underestimate Eliot Spencer.
Eliot Spencer is my favorite. He’s tough with a secret soft side.
My favorite Leverage character is Parker. I think of all the characters, she had the biggest and best change over the course of the show: slowly accepting the rest of the team as her family. Plus, her pick-pocketing skills are second to none!
Very difficult for me to say, as they are all so perfectly in sync with each other. I guess I’ll have to say Parker as she was the most fun, but also learned and changed the most.
I’m going to have to say Parker; so many layers… I identify with her kind of crazy!
Nate. He’s really not a nice guy when he’s after a mark, yet he is the moral center of the group, the one that made a group of crooks help the helpless. He’s brilliant, broken and has that rumpled professorial look that make people underestimate him.
Parker is so darn cute! And now the Queen of all she surveys!
Eliot Spenser, the tough guy who pretends to care about nothing, but actually cares for everyone.
Parker because she makes normal people look like the wierd ones and reminds ys that the crazy ones are the best at what they do since they don’t have to bother worrying about what is sane or proper.
Nathan is my favorite :) He’s my favorite because I like Timothy Hutton! He’s the reason I watch the show :)
Eliot Spencer, because he has so many layers. Yes, he’s a hitter. But he’s also a ladies man who actually cares about the ladies he goes out with. He cooks, he sings and he can step up and take charge of a situation when needed. Think how he planned the rescue of Nate and Maggie from the bomb in the elevator. That was his plan that they executed. Just the best.
Second favorite, Parker. Love the story arc as she matures and grows into someone who can work with others, can grift, and lead. And all the gymnastics as she’s stealing are amazing!
I love every character on the show because they were all unique in their own way,but my favorite had to be Eliot. He was a badass who beat the crap out of people, but was also a light hearted softy that was willing to do anything to help anybody.I sure miss this show!!!
It would certainly have to be Christian Kane as Eliot Spencer. Eliot was a complex character-at first he was just the ‘hitter’, all muscle and not much else. But, as one of the characters said, there is more to Eliot than meets the eye at first. His back story was only hinted at, but with each little glimpse we learned a bit more about him. Played with understated intensity by Christian Kane, we were all left wanting to know more about Eliot when the series ended far too soon. All of that-and he cooks, sings, does his own stunts, and isn’t hard on the eyes. Yup-I am a Kaniac!
I have to say first that I loved all of them very much and miss the show greatly. Now as for my favorite, that would have to be Eliot Spencer, he has something very distinctive about him ;) His expressions, actions & even his stance says so much more than words ever could… He was strong & sensitive caring and compassionate & the moment I will never forget is when they were getting ready to take down Damion Monroe they were in the park and Eliot was telling the team he use to work for Monroe and Parker asked what he did and with tears and pain in his voice he said “Don’t ask me that Parker, Don’t ask me that, because I will tell you” That moment broke my heart and made me love Eliot even more. I started watching Leverage because of Christian Kane (who plays Eliot) and continued watching because I felt like they were all a part of my family!!!!
Eliot is my favorite character because Eliot actually carries out the punishment due. I lived through him. He did so many things that I want to do myself. I would go to jail if I actually did them. Eliot saved me from going :) But Eliot also has a very tender heart underneath the hardened surface. That is a very important side to remember. I also loved that used Christian Kane’s love for music and cooking for Eliot as well.
Eliot!!! I loved all the characters for one reason or another, but Eliot (Christian Kane) was the reason I started watching & continued watching each & every week.
Hardison, he was funny and smart.
I’m going to say Nate, although I could probably list reasons for every other character as well. From the first episode, Nate had my loyalty.
I love Eliot! He’s like everybody’s big brother, always watching out for everyone else on the team and doing whatever it takes to keep them all safe while getting the job done! It’s never easy for him, he gets the crap beat out of him a lot! He’s one tough guy though! I especially loved the episode where he (Christian Kane) got to sing. He sounded like a long-time professional country singer! Christian Kane, just like Eliot is full of surprises. I wish we could have known more about Eliot’s background, but we did find out that in addition to his singing he also has an extraordinary talent for cooking! For a “hitter” trained in black ops and skilled with firearms, he still dislikes guns and prefers his fists and head for weapons! What ever his history, he was definitely one of the good guys and my favorite!
My favorite Leverage character is Parker. I like how over the years they really developed her character. She was quirky but you also got a glimpse of what her childhood was like. I like how they paired her in the end with Hardison as it brought out the tender side of both of them.
Eliot is my favorite because I find him so complex.
