Prime Picks

Hart of Dixe (The CW): New. Wade goes to Lemon for advice about Zoe. Zoe tries to focus on her work. Brick and Lemon attempt to keep their relationship truths from Bettie. Lavon and George work together to find out some stuff about Henry.

12 Monkeys (Syfy): Series Premiere. A reimagining of Terry Gilliam’s 1995 movie of the same name that starts off with a man traveling back from a devastated 2043 to present day to try and change events that lead to most of the world’s population being wiped out by a deadly virus. Plays again later. This is not the movie. First off, the idea of whether the time travel is happening of the dude is just crazy is not a part of the story. The time traveling is happening and they are trying to reverse what wiped out much of the population. But, for what it is, it is really good. I’ve seen the first four and they are having lots of fun with the time travel aspect of the show. There is some decent action and solid serial storyline. I am looking forward to watching more. Will you be checking this one out tonight? Get more info with this interview with stars Aaron Stanford (Nikita), Amanda Schull (Suits) and co-executive producer Travis Fickett (writer Nikita & Terra Nova).

Helix (Syfy): Season Premiere. Drs. Peter Farragut and Sarah Jordan end up on a mysterious island while trying to track down the source of an outbreak. Plays again later. If you liked the various stories taking place in the now and the future that we got towards the end of last season, then you’ll probably continue to like this one. I’m not too sure about it, as I feel completely lost, but not in a way that I feel like I’m going to understand what it going on at some point. Check out an interview with star Kyra Zagorsky and executive producer Steven Maeda for more about season two.

Constantine (NBC): New. John has summoned a demon into himself to stave off an attack and keep himself alive. Chas, Zed and Anne Marie try to figure out how to get John back.

Grimm (NBC): New. Nick and Hank try to help Wu deal with knowing what he now knows. Juliette works to deal with her present situation.

Blue Bloods (CBS): New. Jamie goes to Danny for help when a homeless teenager tells him that his aunt was murdered. Erin gets replaced on a case.
