On cable tonight, Discovery Channel has the 19th season premiere of MythBusters, Hallmark Channel has the TV movie premiere of Love’s Complicated, HBO has the J. Cole Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming concert film, Lifetime has the TV movie premiere of My Sweet Audrina, and Travel Channel has the seventh season premiere of The Dead Files.

The Shannara Chronicles (MTV): Repeat. Based on The Elfstones of Shannara, the second novel of the original Shannara Trilogy by Terry Brooks. The series premiere episode, “Chosen, Part 1 & 2,” replays, where an Elvin princess, an elf-human hybrid and a human Rover must band together on a quest to stop demons from overtaking the Four Lands. - CBS has college basketball action today with LSU at Florida and later tonight has NFL action with the AFC Wild Card Game with the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Cincinnati Bengals.
- CBS Sports has quadruple-header college basketball action today with St. Bonaventure at UMass, UTEP at Alabama Birmingham, Wichita State at Southern Illinois and UNLV at Wyoming.
- ESPN has college basketball action today with Maryland at Wisconsin and later has NFL action with the AFC Wild Card Game with the Kansas City Chiefs at the Houston Texans, which also plays on ABC, and then tonight more college basketball with North Carolina at Syracuse.
