Prime Picks

Mr. Mayor (NBC): Series Premiere. A new mayor takes office for his first day and deals with many problems on the job and at home. Stars Ted Danson (The Good Place, Cheers), Holly Hunter (Top of the Lake, Saving Grace) and Bobby Moynihan (Me, Myself and I, Saturday Night Live). I wasn’t able to see it ahead of time but according to my TVx3 podcast compatriots it is really good. It topped their list of new shows coming this winter.
Mr. Mayor (NBC): New. The mayor runs into unforeseen troubles while visiting a weed shop in support of his new legalization plan.

Call Me Kat (FOX): New. The first episode of this was so bizarrely bad that I have to watch a second one.
Last Man Standing (FOX): New. Vanessa hires a repairperson named Tim that looks a lot like Mike for some home improvement.

Star Trek: Discovery (CBS): Repeat. The 11th episode, “The Wolf Inside,” of Season 1 replays.

Solid Selections

Celebrity Wheel of Fortune (ABC): Series Premiere. Leslie Jones, Chandra Wilson and Tony Hawk compete in the first go-round.

Restaurant: Impossible (Food Network): New Special. “Discovery+ 1st Look: Changing With the Times.” Runs two hours. Plays again later.
