Veronica Mars (The CW): New. Veronica heads to the sororities to investigate the latest rape on campus during rush week. How great is it to have super sleuth Veronica back on TV?
Boston Legal (ABC): New. Denny helps Bethany try her case against the big HMO while Alan finds himself more and more attracted to Shirley.

Gilmore Girls (The CW): New. Lorelai comes to the conclusion that she has based most of her life’s decisions on the opposite of what her parents would have done.
The Unit (CBS): New. A terrorist who is wanted has an attack plan and the team must hunt him down. Meanwhile the ladies back home worry that a stranger may be putting their families in danger.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC): New. Watch Jerry Lewis guest star as a homeless man who is suspected in the rape and murder of a mother and daughter.
Cable Choices
Emeril Live (Food Network): New. Emeril shows you some delicious finger foods that are great for a party.
Eureka (Sci Fi): Repeat. A woman thought to be dead shows up in Eureka at the Sheriff’s office. This is a fun show and has been renewed for a second season.
Nip/Tuck (FX): New. Sean learns that Monica has no intention of getting out of his life. Christian’s therapist lets loose a secret. Runs 65 minutes and plays twice.
Other Options
- Dead Like Me (Sci Fi): Repeat. This was a strange but good show that lasted two seasons on Showtime.
- Law & Order: Criminal Intent (NBC): New. A firefighter is found stabbed to death and Logan and Wheeler investigate but find themselves on opposite sides of most of the fire department.
- NCIS (CBS): New. A petty officer involved in an undercover arms deal is found dead and the team investigates.

- FOX has Game 1 of the ALCS with the Oakland A’s vs. the Detroit Tigers.
- ESPN2 has preseason NBA Basketball with the Phoenix Suns at the Philadelphia 76ers.
- Versus, which was formerly OLN, has NHL Hockey with the Philadelphia Flyers at the New York Rangers.
