in Tonight on the Tube

CSI New York: Bloody Murder (CSI: NY)Friday Night Lights moved from Tuesday to Wednesday so they could avoid American Idol but tonight will find out what it would have been like, if they had stayed put. Good thing this won’t happen once the Idol competition gets into full swing and hopefully more people will give this show a chance as it is really good. There really isn’t any thing else all that good in the first hour of primetime on Wednesday nights, normally. What looks good to you tonight?

Prime Picks

Friday Night Lights (NBC): New. The Panthers are one game away from the playoffs and need to get their heads back into the game while Smash’s mom finds his stash, which could end his football playing days.

The Knights of Prosperity (ABC): New. The gang decides between 150 grand and continuing with the plan to rob Mick Jagger.
In Case of Emergency (ABC): New. More bad days for the gang, hopefully they will turn funny soon.

CSI: NY (CBS): New. The team has a long list of suspects after finding a transgender showgirl dead at a hotel.

Solid Selections

American Idol (FOX): New. Two more hours of the good, the bad and the truly weird from the New York auditions.

Medium (NBC): New. Allison has visions of a ghost that doesn’t want her help.

Cable Choices

Throwdown With Bobby Flay (Food Network): New. Bobby competes in a fried chicken battle.
Throwdown With Bobby Flay (Food Network): Repeat. Who makes the best cheesesteak is decided.

MythBusters (Discovery Channel): New. The guys try to get out of a car that is submerged in water.

Dinner: Impossible (Food Network): Series Premiere. A Chef is sent in to prepare a dinner for 200 wedding guests with only 10 hours to prepare.
Dinner: Impossible (Food Network): New. Tailgating equipment is used to prepare a gourmet meal for 40.

Other Options

  • Ace of Cakes (Food Network): New. Two new episodes play tonight. In the first Duff is out of town and Mary Alice has some problems while in the second one a cow cake is designed and made.
  • Criminal Minds (CBS): Repeat. “The Boogeyman” is a very creepy episode, especially once you deduce who the bad guy is.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has North Carolina at Wake Forest in college basketball action followed by the Houston Rockets at San Antonio Spurs in NBA action.
  • ESPN2 has college basketball followed by tennis coverage of the women’s semifinals from the Australian Open.
  • Versus has the NHL All-Star Game.
