Prime Picks

American Idol (FOX): New. The Top 3 performs. Who do you think will make the Final Two? Next week is the final performance episode.

House (FOX): New. The team tries to diagnose and then treat a 16-year-old boy with bad head pain. He is a chess prodigy and a complete pain in the ass. It sounds like House might be treating a miniature version of himself. The season finale is in two weeks.

Boston Legal (ABC): New. Brad and Denise’s wedding is having some problems and Jerry defends a lady being kicked out of her apartment for having a pet duck. The season finale is next week.

Solid Selections

Gilmore Girls (The CW): Series Finale. Luke and Lorelai reach some kind of understanding while the town throws Rory a huge graduation party. Was supposed to be the season finale, but none of the sides could come to an agreement on finances for a final season.

Veronica Mars (The CW): New. Veronica is taking her private investigators test. Piz is interviewing an author, who it looks like might just be another James Frey. The two-hour season finale is next week.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC): New. A teenage boy dies in what looks to be a play fight, but then they find out it had been videotaped. The season finale is next week.

Cable Choices

The Transporter (FX): Released 2002. A driver gets mixed up in a plot and must figure a way out. Some pretty good car and fight sequences. Runs two hours.

The Shield (FX): New. Shane is reaching out to some mob connections when Vic cuts off all ties to him. Runs 64 minutes and plays again later.

Other Options

  • Law & Order: Criminal Intent (NBC): Repeat. If you didn’t watch this episode last night after Heroes, then it is new to you. Next week’s finale plays on Monday night after Heroes, as well as next Tuesday in its normal timeslot. Next season this version of Law & Order will air on USA Network and then at some point replay on NBC.
  • Thowndown With Bobby Flay (Food Network): New and repeats. Four episodes play tonight with the fourth one being a new episode were Bobby participates in a hot dog battle.

Sports Notes

  • TNT has an NBA Playoff doubleheader with the Chicago Bulls at the Detroit Pistons followed by the Golden State Warriors at the Utah Jazz.
