Prime Picks

Bones (FOX): New. A soccer mom gets blown up in her minivan and Booth, Bones and the team investigate.

House (FOX): New. A woman with an unusual neurological disorder is the patient this week and House uses her to pit groups of interns against each other to solve the case. How great was last week’s premiere? And, tonight the elimination rounds begin, as House tries to pick a new team.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC): New. The detectives use a woman’s online persona to track down the person who kidnapped her.

Solid Selections

NCIS (CBS): New. Ducky finds some info that puts the team on the search for a missing kid. Meanwhile, Tony is having trouble dealing with his feelings after losing Jeanne. How sad were you for Tony after last week’s episode.

Reaper (The CW): New. An energy line sucking, power draining escaped soul is tracked down and they attempt to capture him with a remote control monster truck. Didn’t find this nearly as enjoyable as I thought I would have given the shows buzz, but will be giving it a second shot this week. What did you think of the Reaper premiere last week?

Cane (CBS): New. This is another show that didn’t really capture my interest, even though Jimmy Smits is great as usual. The rest of the cast is pretty good also. Alex officially takes over Duque Rum and goes about presenting his plan to build a sugar based ethanol refinery to the senator. What did you think of the Cane premiere last week?

Cable Choices

Lincoln Heights (ABC Family): New. Charles is losing Cassie to her growing love for art. A basketball game is organized to try and relieve the tension between the rival gangs. Plays again later.

Eureka (Sci Fi): Season Finale. Stark to tries to save he and Allison’s son and needs Sheriff Carters help. Plays again later. A marathon of the entire second season plays leading up to tonight’s finale. Also, Sci Fi has renewed the show for a third season, so it will be back next summer.

Damages (FX): New. It is deposition time for Frobisher. Ellen has been benched. Runs 64 minutes and plays twice and then again later.

Other Options

  • Carpoolers (ABC): Series Premiere. From what I understand, they don’t just spend the whole episode in the car, as most of the early promos made it look.
  • Cavemen (ABC): Series Premiere. Not sure really what to make of this. Never found the Geico ads all that funny to begin with, so an entire show doesn’t really interest me. Will check it out to see what it is all about. If used properly, it could provide some laughs with relevant social commentary, but used poorly and it good easily devolve into really bad attempts at humor. What do you think of the show, will you be watching?
  • Have Fork, Will Travel (Food Network): New. Bangkok is visited. Plays again later.
  • Rachael Ray’s Tasty Travels (Food Network): New. Rachael is travel through Latin America. Plays again later.
  • The Unit (CBS): New. Jonas is out to uncover the conspiracy that is breaking up the team. Kim is keeping the wives safe.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has Tuesday Night College Football with Marshall at Memphis.
  • Versus has college football action with Baylor at Texas A&M.

  • Flash Gordon (Sci Fi): Repeat. Last Friday’s episode, “Alliances,” replays.
  • It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX): Repeat. Last Thursday’s episodes, “The Aluminum Monster” and “The Gang Solves the North Korea Situation,” both replay. Runs 63 minutes.
