Tonight on the Tube: Greek, Wildfire, Andromeda Strain & Memorial Day TV Marathons

News & Notes

The Andromeda Strain - A&E Miniseries - DVDIt’s Memorial Day and that means remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. But, it also means camping trips, family gatherings, backyard barbecues and of course, TV show marathons. There are some pretty good options today, like the short-lived Taye Diggs (Private Practice) starrer Day Break, Diff’rent Strokes, Monty Python’s Flying Circus, NCIS and Star Trek: Enterprise. Check out the full list below.

On cable tonight, ABC Family has the series finale of Wildfire, A&E has the miniseries premiere of The Andromeda Strain, E! has the series premieres of Denise Richards: It’s Complicated and Living Lohan, and MTV has the first season finale of The Paper.

How I Met Your Mother (CBS): Repeat. The first episode from season two, “Where Were We?” replays, where Lily is in San Francisco and the rest of the gang is trying to cheer up Marshall.

Two and a Half Men (CBS): Repeat. Alan sets Charlie up with a woman more his age, in “Dum Diddy Dum Diddy Doo” from this past season.

CSI: Miami (CBS): Repeat. A dead body is found in a house about to be demolished because of the city’s use of eminent domain, in “Death Eminent” from season five.

Solid Selections

Gossip Girl (The CW): Repeat. The “Pilot” episode replays, where people seem conflicted about Serena returning to Manhattan.

One Tree Hill (The CW): Repeat. The season five premiere episode, “4 Years, 6 Months, 2 Days” replays, where things jump ahead four years from where they ended in season four.

The Bachelorette (ABC): New. Well, watching the last hour of this is better than Dateline NBC, but can’t really recommend either of them. With only three choices in the third hour of primetime, sometimes picking the second best is troublesome.

Stars Benjamin Bratt (E-Ring), Eric McCormack (Will & Grace) and Ricky Schroder (NYPD Blue). Based on the novel by Michael Crichton. Plays again later. Part two plays tomorrow night. Runs two hours.

Other Options

  • Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives (Food Network): New. Guy takes “The Memphis Barbecue Tour.” Plays again later.
  • Wildfire (ABC Family): Series Finale. Junior has a big decision to make and it is Kris and Wildfire’s big race. Plays again later.
