News & Notes

Download Bones Episodes at Amazon UnboxTonight, CBS has the first season finale of Greatest American Dog and FOX has the third season premiere of ‘Til Death and the series premiere of Do Not Disturb.

Over on cable, BBC America has a Secret Policeman’s Ball special, MTV has the 16th season premiere of The Real World/Road Rules Challenge, Showtime has the 32nd season premiere of Inside the NFL, Starz has the third season finale of Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-Up, and TV Guide Channel has the second season finale of Making News: Savannah Style.

Got any questions about NBC’s Lipstick Jungle, which premieres in two weeks,

Prime Picks

Bones (FOX): New. The host of a popular reality TV show is found partially decomposed in an outhouse. Brennan and Booth have to identify the killer, but the pool of suspects is quite larger. Booth finds out that Brennan is trying to maintain two relationships. How great was the two-hour fourth season premiere last week?

90210 (The CW): Repeat. Last night’s episode, “Lucky Strike,” replays.

CSI: NY (CBS): Repeat. The team is trying to figure out if a man found dead is actually the Cabbie Killer, in “Taxi” from this past season.

Solid Selections

Greatest American Dog (CBS): Season Finale. If your not watching Bones, then you could find out what dog won tonight.

Criminal Minds (CBS): Repeat. A suspected serial killer wakes from a four-year coma, but doesn’t remember any of the crimes, in “Tabula Rasa” from this past season.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent (NBC): Repeat. Goren and Eames are on the case of a student’s death at a private school, in “Legacy” from this past season.

Cable Choices

Feasting on Waves (Food Network): Repeat. The first leg of Alton’s Caribbean journey replays. Plays again later.

MythBusters (Discovery Channel): Repeat New. Watch as a phone book fable is tested by the guys. Last week’s episode, “Viral Hour,” replays right before. Both episode play again later.

Sons of Anarchy (FX): New. There is a new deputy chief of police in Charming and that doesn’t bode well for SAMCRO and their arms dealings. Meanwhile, Jax is still worried about his newborn son. Also, Opie has to make a difficult choice. Runs 66 minutes. Plays twice and again later.

Other Options

  • Dinner: Impossible (Food Network): New. Iron Chef Michael Symon has to prepare a picnic style lunch for 150 mothers and their families. A repeat episode follows. Both play again later.
  • Do Not Disturb (FOX): Series Premiere. It’s not a very good option, but it is new. Read my full review.
  • Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS): Repeats. Four episodes replay tonight.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has Wednesday Night Baseball with the Tampa Bay Rays at the Boston Red Sox.

Late Night
