Prime Pick

Criminal Minds (CBS): Repeat. The team searches for a serial killer who is after Garcia, in “Penelope” from last season.

My Own Worst Enemy (NBC): Repeat. This past Monday’s series premiere episode, “Breakdown,” replays. If you didn’t watch on Monday, you should give it a shot, I thought it was really good and you can read my review and see why.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC): Repeat. This past Wednesday’s episode, “Swing,” replays, where Stabler’s daughter is a suspect in a case.

Solid Selections

America’s Toughest Jobs (NBC): New. There are five competitors left and they are heading to Alaska for the next leg of the competition.

CSI: NY (CBS): Repeat. The team is after the “Taxi Cab Killer,” in “Admissions,” from last season.

48 Hours Mystery (CBS): New. A daughter has been searching for the truth of her mother’s disappearance for almost 30 years.

Cable Choice

Unwrapped (Food Network): Repeat. See how some of your favorite Halloween treats are made. Four more candy centric episodes follow. All five episodes play again later.

Primeval (BBC America): New. Cutter and Stephen get caught when an anomaly closes and they must figure out how to get home another way. Plays again later. Last week’s episode replays right before. Both episodes play again later.

Trading Spaces (TLC): New. A secret crush is revealed during the redesigns. Plays again later.

Other Options

  • Living Proof (Lifetime): Premiere. The story of Dr. Dennis Slamon, played by Harry Connick Jr., and the many years he spent fighting to create a drug to fight breast cancer. It is your straightforward Lifetime movie that is a little too by the numbers, but it tells a compelling story about this doctor and many families and women dealing with cancer. Runs two hours. Plays again tomorrow and Monday nights. I’ve been watching this as I put this post together and it’s a two-star movie about a four-star accomplishment that has a huge cast of recognizable faces.
