Get A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving on DVDHappy Thanksgiving!

If you get tired of hanging with family and friends, don’t like football or both, then check out the list below of TV show marathons for a little or a lot of something to get you through the day. Some of the better options include Arrested Development on G4, The Closer on TNT, Gavin & Stacy on BBC America, House on USA, and I Love Lucy on TV Land.

Prime Picks

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (ABC): Repeat. An unusual feast put together by Snoopy is had around the pingpong table. This Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers follows.

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC): Repeat. The two-part season premiere episode, “Dream a Little Dream of Me” replays, where Seattle Grace is dealing with the aftermath of a freak ice storm. Starts two minutes after the hour and runs an hour and 58 minutes.

Solid Selections

Smallville (The CW): Repeat. The season premiere episode, “Odyssey,” replays, where Green Arrow and the Justice League gang are looking for Clark in the Artic after the collapse of the Fortress.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS): Repeat. Grissom is battling the flu along with the rest of the team as they investigate a case, in “Grissom’s Divine Comedy” from last season. Runs 61 minutes.

Eleventh Hour (CBS): Repeat. The series premiere episode, “Resurrection,” replays, where Dr. Hood and Special Agent Young are investigating what looks to be attempted cloning of a human. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 59 minutes.

Cable Choices

Friends (TBS): Repeats. Four Thanksgiving episodes replay tonight: “The One Where Chandler Doesn’t Like Dogs,” “The One With Rachel’s Other Sister,” The One With the Late Thanksgiving,” and “The One With Ross’ Sandwich.” Well, the last one is an after Thanksgiving episode I believe, but still funny nonetheless. Want to watch all nine Thanksgiving episodes of Friends? Head over to TheWB.com and you can watch them all online.

Ace of Cakes (Food Network): Repeats. Cakes include one modeled after turducken. Both episodes play again later.

Other Options

  • Food Detectives (Food Network): Repeat. Does turkey really make you sleepy? Plays again later.
  • The Incredibles (NBC): Released 2004. I don’t normally go for animated features, but this one is actually really good. A former superhero is bored and wanting to get back into action. He and his family have to step up and save the world. Runs two and a half hours.
  • The Office (NBC): Repeat. The season premiere episode, “Weight Loss, Part 1,” replays.

Thanksgiving Day Specials

  • CBS has highlights from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade following the football game.
  • NBC has the 82nd annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade followed by coverage of The National Dog Show.
