Prime Picks

House (FOX): New. A guy that can’t stop saying whatever is on his mind is the patient of the week. House tries to figure out what Taub and Wilson could be trying to keep from him.

24 (FOX): New. The president is being forced to read a statement and Jack tries to figure a way out of the situation at the White House.

Castle (ABC): Series Premiere. Richard Castle, played by Nathan Fillion (Firefly), is a bestselling crime fiction novelist. In this first episode, it looks like someone is copying the murders from his books, so the detective on the case brings him in as a consultant, as she thinks he could be of help. I really enjoyed this episode and think this show has the potential to be a hit. It has a bit of a Moonlighting or a Bones feeling to it.

Solid Selections

Chuck (NBC): New. Sarah and Casey leave Chuck in the bunker with Agent Barker while they go looking for the Fulcrum agent that is in charge of putting together their own Intersect.

Heroes (NBC): New. Sylar finally finds his father. Claire has to figure out whether to help the puppet master dude after being contacted by Rebel. Matt ends up in the spotlight.

Medium (NBC): New. An earthquake that happens after she has an apocryphal dream freaks out Allison.

Cable Choices

The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC Family): New. Adrian and Grace are putting together a baby shower for Amy. Jack and Grace have a moment. Plays again later twice.

Kyle XY (ABC Family): New. Kyle invites Cassidy over for dinner and Jessi doesn’t like it. Plays again late night tomorrow.

Saving Grace (TNT): New. A friend of Grace’s niece dies at a party they were both at due to a drug overdose. Grace continues working with her new partner, played by Christina Ricci. Plays again later.

Other Options

  • Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (Travel Channel): New. Tony visits Vietnam to look for a place to live. Plays twice and again later.
  • The Big Bang Theory (CBS): New. Leonard, Sheldon and Wolowitz are on a train to San Francisco and learn that Summer Glau (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) is on the same train. This would have been a really interesting episode if Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was still on Monday nights up against this show.
  • CSI: Miami (CBS): New. Horatio tries to save his son from Julia after she becomes even more erratic.
  • How I Met Your Mother (CBS): New. It seems that Ted’s college girlfriend has moved to NYC and Marshall and Lily are less than thrilled.
  • Rules of Engagement (CBS): New. Russell gets a new male assistant that works out much better than he would have thought. Starts a minute after the half hour and runs 29 minutes.
  • Two and a Half Men (CBS): New. Charlie doesn’t get the reaction he was expecting from Chelsea after he tells her he love her. Runs 31 minutes.
