Prime Picks

FlashForward (ABC): New. Mark is on the defensive during Senate hearing. Janis wonders how what she saw will change things for her. Olivia gets a message anonymously.

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC): New. A burn victim dies and all the residents must defend what they did in hopes of keeping their jobs. Runs 61 minutes.

Private Practice (ABC): New. A homeless teen’s child is being treated. Violet is counseling a pregnant rape victim, which reminds her of her attack. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 59 minutes.

Solid Selections

Community (NBC): New. Jeff attempts to talk Troy into joining the school’s football team. Shirley schools Britta in the etiquette of girl talk. This show remains one of my favorite new shows.
Parks and Recreation (NBC): New. The department helps a playground get built. Leslie uses some advice given to her by Mark. I keep watching this show hoping it will be funny, but I am running out of hope. Probably going to drop this show from my lineup, but others seem to think it has gotten funny this season. What do you think about this show? Still not funny or has gotten better in season two?

The Office (NBC): New. Pam and Jim are shocked to learn who Michael’s new girlfriend is. Dwight wants to make peace with Jim, but goes about it with an odd gift.
30 Rock (NBC): New. Devin is back for revenge and Jack is trying to protect the company and his job.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX): New. The gang attempts to defend themselves in court by telling about Game 5 of the World Series. Runs 30 minutes. A repeat episode follows. Both play again later.

Other Options

  • American Chopper (TLC): Fall Premiere. Jr. and Mikey are now out of the business, which changes things. Plays again later.
  • Iron Chef America (Food Network): Repeat. The “Morimoto vs. Amoroso” battle from this past Sunday replays. Plays again later.
