Last Man Standing (ABC): New. Richard Karn guest stars as the longtime architect of Outdoor Man, who is getting some competition from a young attractive female architect. Runs 30 minutes.

Fringe (FOX): New. Walter thinks a dip in the deprivation tank will help him unlock some clues about Donald. Windmark is on a revealing mission. Fantastic episode that got me really excited for the final two hours next week.

Blue Bloods (CBS): New. Jamie deals with the consequences of his on the job actions. Erin is questioning the mayor.

Solid Selections

Nikita (The CW): Repeat. The fall finale episode, “Sideswipe,” replays. New episodes resume next Friday.

Arrow (The CW): Repeat. The fall finale episode, “Year’s End,” replays. New episodes resume next Wednesday.

Banshee (Cinemax): Series Premiere. A master thief just out on parole assumes the identity of the sheriff-in-waiting of Banshee, PA. Runs 65 minutes. Plays twice. I haven’t seen it yet, but an very interested in it based on the quality of Cinemax’s recent scripted offerings.

  • Merlin (Syfy): New. Merlin thinks he may not be able to sway Arthur from his chosen path. Plays again later.
  • Portlandia (IFC): New. Nina is throwing herself a huge birthday party for her 32nd. Both play again later.
