Tonight is a night of all new episodes except for one half hour on FOX. It will be interesting to see what happens in the ratings with the new lineups and everything new and somewhat established on Thursday now. Will Survivor cut into the numbers of Dancing With the Stars? Will people notice that Everybody Hates Chris is actually new this week? Will Jack find his missing person in Tokyo? Will anybody watch the whole episode of The O.C. or just the last five minutes? These questions and many more will be answered tonight on TV. What will you be watching?
Prime Picks
Smallville (WB): Last week we saw the death of Jonathan Kent. This week Clark discovers a new reporter at the Daily Planet is also a masked avenger taking to the streets at night to fight crime.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS): Two deaths, two investigations and one suspect for both.
Without a Trace (CBS): Jack goes to Tokyo to track down a Marine who has gone missing after serving a five-year prison sentence for raping a young woman.
Solid Selections
Everybody Hates Chris (UPN): Actually everybody hates repeat episodes so good news this one is actually new tonight.
Four Kings (NBC): First episode showed potential. Second episode was bad. Third episode was worse. Last week the show once again showed a little potential. We shall see. Hopefully the process doesn’t repeat itself. If so this week could be bad.
My Name Is Earl (NBC): Earl makes up for stealing gas from a stranger’s car. The stranger is played by guest star Adam Goldberg.
The Office (NBC): Jan comes to the Scranton office to run a seminar for the ladies. Michael takes this as an opportunity to take the guys down to the warehouse for a little male bonding.
ER (NBC): James Woods guest stars as a former medical school professor that is suffering from ALS. Starts an annoying one minute before the hour.
Other Options
Survivor: Panama — Exile Island (CBS): Have never really gotten the whole Survivor things but it kicks off with the first exile. At least they change things up a bit I guess.
The O.C. (FOX): According to the ads you only need to watch the last five minutes. Well I am sure they would like you to watch the whole thing but if everything is explained in the last five minutes you don’t really need to.
Primetime (ABC): ABC News Investigative reports. Tonight they profile the resurgence of ballroom dancing. I wonder how many times they will mention Dancing With the Stars.
Cable Choices
50 Most Outrageous TV Moments (E!): The 50 most outrageous moments on TV are counted down. Repeat. Runs two hours.
Secrets of Kitchen Stadium (Food Network): Get a behind the scenes look at Iron Chef America and the kitchen where the battles take place. Repeat from earlier this week.
Sports Notes
