Three's Company - Season OneI guess I should have included Saturday in the lineup of nights with at least one new scripted series. Yet The Evidence slipped my mind and I don’t know how many more of them there are left to burn off anyway. In other TV happenings today if you like Jack Tripper and Company then flip on over to TV Land as they will be playing nothing but Three’s Company today and tomorrow. What will you be watching?

Prime Picks

A Bug’s Life (ABC): The 1998 Pixar and Disney animated flick about an ant that teams with other bugs against the grasshoppers. Voice talent includes Dave Foley and Kevin Spacey. Runs two hours.

The Evidence (ABC): New. Bishop and Cole investigate the murder of a paramedic. It might have been cancelled but at least it is new.

Solid Selections

Big Brother 7: All-Stars (CBS): Repeat. If you missed this look, which it seems a lot of people did and I can’t really blame them, at the 20 contestants who can be voted on then here is your second chance.

CSI: Miami (CBS): Repeat. A woman kidnapped and trapped in a trunk tries to call a friend and misdials leaving the CSI’s to try and figure out whom she meant to call so they can find her.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent (NBC): Repeat. This was a really good episode with guest star Corbin Berson as a prison warden with a missing wife.

Cable Choices

Emeril Live (Food Network): New. Emeril whips up some summertime after dinner goodies.

Trading Spaces (TLC): New. A couple of houses in Tucson get the do over treatment by Christi and Edward.

Fantasy Food Camps (Food Network): New. Culinary dreams are granted to these happy campers.

Other Options

  • Banshee (Oxygen): This 2006 made-for-TV movie stars Taryn Manning as a top-notch car thief who steals the wrong one. That being the car of a serial killer who now is targeting her and her friends and wants his car back. Runs one hours and 45 minutes and replays again play twice.
  • Forrest Gump (TNT): The 1994 movie starring Tom Hanks and Gary Sinise as we get to see some of the big historical events through the eyes of man with a low IQ and a big heart. Runs three hours.
  • Summer Snacks Unwrapped (Food Network): New. Get a look at some of your favorite summertime foods and how they are made.

Sports Notes

  • ABC has the Booz Allen Classic golf tournament third round coverage and a World Cup Soccer match earlier in the morning.
  • ESPN has Game 1 of the NCAA World Series Championship between Oregon State and North Carolina with a World Cup Soccer match earlier in the day.
  • FOX has Major League Baseball in the afternoon.

Late Night

  • MADtv (FOX): Repeat. Features a spoof of 24.
  • Saturday Night Live (NBC): Repeat. Host Kevin Spacey with musical guest Nelly Furtado.

TV Show Marathons

TV Land – 48½ hours of Three’s Company. So over the weekend you could watch 89 episodes and two showings of a made-for-TV movie about Three’s Company. Now that is a marathon.
