in Tonight on the Tube

Battlestar Galactica MagazineAre you a fan of Men in Trees? Have you been hoping it would get picked up for the season? Well, you are in luck. Men in Trees has been picked up for the season by ABC. But wait, that’s not all! Men in Trees is also moving. Where you ask? It is moving to Thursday nights after Grey’s Anatomy beginning Nov. 30th. Six Degrees the previous timeslot holder has been put on hiatus. Will you follow the show from Friday to Thursday? How well do you think it will perform up against ER and Shark? I for one like the move, as it will make the ABC Thursday night lineup quite fun with Ugly Betty, Grey’s Anatomy and Men in Trees. Tonight is also Scifi Friday on the Sci Fi Channel with a repeat of Monday’s Heroes episode before a new Doctor Who and Battlestar Galactica.

Prime Picks

Vanished (FOX): New. The Senator gives a press conference to quell rumors about his vote for Judge Rainer while Marcy struggles with the developments.

Men in Trees (ABC): New. Marin’s publisher has leaked an excerpt from her new book about men she is writing. Jewel has some car trouble and ends up at the Chieftain. The show has been picked up for the season and will be moving to Thursday nights after Grey’s Anatomy starting Nov. 30th.

Numb3rs (CBS): New. A minor league baseball player dies and the team investigates and finds that a fantasy league player has developed a way to statistically figure out who might be using steroids.

Solid Selections

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC): Repeat. Last night’s episode, “Where the Boys Are,” replays. The scenes of the guys heading out for a camping trip is very funny and when they get to the campsite things only get better.

Las Vegas (NBC): New. Sam is in financial trouble after she gets stiffed by three of her clients and Adam Carolla tries to help Mary with a big fear she has.

Law & Order (NBC): New. A death on a party bus leads the investigators in a direction they would have not believed at the beginning.

Cable Choices

Doctor Who (Sci Fi): New. The Doctor heads for 1953 England and stories of monsters. Plays again later.

Battlestar Galactica (Sci Fi): New. D’Anna tortures Baltar in an attempt to find out whom is responsible for the virus affecting the Cylons. This is part 2 of a two-part episode that began last week. Plays again later.

Paula’s Party (Food Network): New. A pear crisp is prepared along with a Krispy Kreme bread pudding recipe.

Other Options

  • What Not to Wear (TLC): New. A woman in need of convincing of the fact that her wardrobe doesn’t leave much to the imagination is helped by Clinton and Stacy.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has an NBA doubleheader with the Miami Heat at the New Jersey Nets followed by the Detroit Pistons at the Los Angeles Lakers.
  • ESPN2 has college football with Texas-El Paso at Alabama-Birmingham.
  • USA has the Merril Lynch Shootout from Naples, Florida.

Men in trees is on the move again. Just when it got interesting again with that HOT Scott Elrod (CASH). Jack’s character is getting “wussy”…I would like to see Men in Trees stay on Thurs. after “Greys”…but now we have Oct. Road??? I love Men in Trees… our whole family sits in front of the “tube” Thursday nights from “Ugly Betty” to “Men in trees”… 6 pizza’s, iced tea and salad…it is our favorite family night. We only talkl or comment during commercials… wish we could block commercials off… The other night’s of the week, there are maybe one show per night we will watch… TV has gotten so SAD… Thursday was PERFECT! We hate all those reality shows…we miss TV being entertaining…Anyway, Thursday night was PERFECT…now that’s over and I want to know where they are moving “Men in Trees”….We also love “Brothers & Sisters” on Sunday night, everything before that is Horrible…we know our weekend is over when “Brothers…” is over…Move it to Thursday night at 9PM… that’s an idea!!
Anyway, Just want to keep track of where our favorite shows are moving and I wish they would tell you when it’s a re-run. We bought 1st. season of Grey’s…2nd. season with Denny dying was too much… I wanted him and Izzy to stay together….I even thought for a second before Denny came along that Izzy and Preston had “something”… remember them cooking Thanksgiving dinner together… they seemed compatible and even possibly couple material. I LOVED the idea of Izzy & Denny…I hated seeing him die over and over in the re-runs…
