House, M.D. - Season OneTonight Rome on HBO has its series finale, as it won’t be back for a third season. The L Word has its season finale, as it ends its fourth season. The second episodes of The Riches on FX plays in late night. The second season of Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels premieres tonight on A&E. There are also a few TV marathons on cable today.

Prime Picks

The Simpsons (FOX): New. Homer somehow ends up taking a photo of a celebrity scandal and decides to join the paparazzi because of it.
King of the Hill (FOX): New. Luann has been asked to the senior prom and is thinking about going after being Lucky leaves her.

Cold Case (CBS): New. A 20 year old case is reopened about a 6 year old who was murdered.

Without a Trace (CBS): New. Sam’s sister is missing and she tries to find her with the help of local PD, but when Jack finds out about it, he thinks the team should help.

Solid Selections

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (ABC): New. A South Carolina family gets a new home and Hootie and the Blowfish perform.

Desperate Housewives (ABC): Repeat. The one where Gaby wants to get back into modeling and Lynette starts getting suspicious of her new neighbor. Matt Roth played Art Shepherd, the neighbor who Lynette suspected of being a pedophile. He also played a character on Crossing Jordan this season who was being pursued by Jordan for the same thing. Now that is the type of role that I wouldn’t want to get type cast as. He does play the upstanding citizen who is actually a creep quite well.

Brothers & Sisters (ABC): Repeat. Everybody gets to find out why Justin is in therapy when his family comes for a group session at his treatment center.

Cable Choices

Emeril Live (Food Network): New. Emeril loves his noodles and shows you some tasty recipes that can be made using them.

The Dresden Files (Sci FI): New. A local private investigator is killed and Dresden tries to find out what really happened. Plays again later.

Battlestar Galactica (Sci Fi): Season Finale. Baltar’s trial comes to an end and new alliances are starting to form aboard the ship. Plays again later.

Other Options

  • Bill Engvall: 15 Degrees Off Cool (Comedy Central): New. See his latest standup routines. Plays twice.
  • Blood Ties (Lifetime): New. While trying to find a girl’s estranged father, Vicki and Henry find that the girl has some pretty unique abilities. Plays again later.
  • Dirt (FX): Repeat. Last Tuesday’s episode, “Caught on Tape,” replays. Next Tuesday is the season finale with guest star Jennifer Anniston.
