Legs Told to Take a Walk on American Idol Season 6

in Rankings, Top Lists

It had to happen sooner or later. No, I am not talking about Simon criticizing Melinda Doolittle the other night, I am talking about predicting the bottom three and who would be sent packing correctly this week.

I thought that the bottom three would be Phil Stacey, Haley Scarnato and Chris Richardson. That is exactly who was down there. How many times does that make for Phil, the guy just hovers around the bottom?

Anyway, Haley and her legs were told they would no longer be strutting their stuff on stage. I have to say, I would have rather had Phil pack up his funky hat collection and hit the road than Haley, but she, like Sanjaya, probably shouldn’t even have made the top 12. So, really it is not a big loss.

The American Idol people found plenty of things to fill the hour-long show with. We had more news about Idol Gives Back, another stupidly easy question to win tickets to the show and possibly a bunch of money, a performance by Akon, clips of Simon in Africa, more from J.Lo meeting with the contestants and a performance from Jennifer Lopez of a song from her recent Spanish language album Como Ama una Mujer.

American Idol Season 6 – Top 7 Rankings:

  1. Melinda Doolittle – Still think she is the best singer in the competition.
  2. Jordin Sparks – It baffles me, but she continues to get raves from the judges. She sure can sing, but she doesn’t really show the emotion of the songs she picks, like Melinda or even like Chris does when they sing.
  3. Blake Lewis – The strongest male left in the competition, which had the best performance of everyone on Latin night.
  4. LaKisha Jones – Starting to falter a bit, needs to take the mentor’s advice more than she seems to.
  5. Chris Richardson – His voice kind of grates on me, but he is still better than the next two.
  6. Phil Stacey – Would of rather seen him go home than Haley.
  7. Sanjaya Malakar – Still don’t think he will win, but if more people start doing what a friend of mine is, he might. After Gina Glocksen got voted out and others that he liked, he decided that he was just going to vote as much as possible for Sanjaya now, which gave the guy another 100 or so votes this week that he wasn’t getting last week. I hope that this is a fluke and others haven’t decided to go down this path, as well.

Do you think the right person was sent home last night? Who is your favorite left in the American Idol Season 6 competition at this point?

AI should have kept Haley. Since the show is not really a singing contest,
I would like to see more of Haley dancing on stage in a micro-mini and backless
tops until only the 3 of these remain in the top list: Haley, Sanjaya and Jordin.

Since, we aren’t talking about great singers, as half of those left in the competition aren’t, I would have to agree that I would rather Haley still be there than Sanjaya or Phil. But, having Haley, Sanjaya and Jordin as the Top 3, would just ruin the show completely.
