Private Practice (ABC): New. Sam makes a house call and ends up in danger. Pete and Addison move forward in their relationship. Violet and Cooper might be going the friends-with-benefits route.

Life (NBC): New. Crews and Reese are investigating a gas explosion that killed a man. When the guy that helped put Crews away is found dead, Crews is again a murder suspect. Really starting to like this show.

Solid Selections

Back to You (FOX): New. It is Gracie’s birthday and right as her party is about to begin, a vicious raccoon is found in the attack. Comedy ensues.
‘Til Death (FOX): New. Jeff wants to be able to go to bed whenever he wants. Eddie and Joy are fighting over a lamp. Comedy is supposed to ensue, but usually doesn’t.

Criminal Minds (CBS): New. Morgan is starting to question his faith, as the team attempts to track down a serial killer cannibal. Garcia may have met someone great, but the date doesn’t go that well.

Dirty Sexy Money (ABC): New. Karen is getting cold feet over marrying Freddy and Lisa thinks it is because of Nick. Brian Jr.’s mom comes back from Brazil and wants her son back.

Cable Choices

Good Eats (Food Network): New. Alton gets “Kinda Blue,” as he cooks with blueberries. Plays again later.

MythBusters (Discovery Channel): New. Some “Supersized Myths” are checked out in this two-hour episode. A repeat episode follows. Both play again later.

  • Bionic Woman (NBC): New. A controversial head of state is visiting the U.S. and intel says there might be an assassination attempt. Jonas sends Jaime and Antonio to stop it.
  • CSI: NY (CBS): New. A model dies on a billboard in Times Square and the team investigates.
  • Dinner: Impossible (Food Network): New. Robert has to cook for Elvis fans and Pricilla Presley at the Graceland. Plays again later.
  • Gossip Girl (The CW): New. Blair is disappointed on her birthday by Nate. Dan brings Vanessa to Blair’s party so she can get to know Serena. Jenny has gotten her mother to come home for a visit, which comes as quite the surprise.
  • Paula’s Home Cooking (Food Network): New. Some fall recipes are whipped up. Plays again later.
