The Andromeda Strain - A&E Miniseries - DVDTonight, ABC has the seventh season finale of According to Jim and FOX has the first summer season premiere of The Moment of Truth. Let’s hope this doesn’t do quite as well over the summer, as it did in its first run.

Over on cable, A&E has The Andromeda Strain miniseries, BET has the one-hour fifth season finale of College Hill: Atlanta, and Bravo has a special episode of The Real Housewives of New York.

NCIS (CBS): Repeat. NCIS and the FBI work together after a mummified body is found in an old furnace chimney, in “Smoked” from season four.

The Unit (CBS): Repeat. Jonas, Mack and Grey are on protection duty for a pop princess while visiting the troops, in “M.P.s” from this past season.

Law & Order: SVU (NBC): Repeat. A video gamer goes missing and the detectives use her online persona to track down the kidnapper, in “Avatar” from this past season. Another episode replays right before.

Solid Selections

According to Jim (ABC): New. Jim finds out that Cheryl’s doctor wants her to be more active, but she says she is supposed to get rest. Well, it’s better than watching The Moment of Truth, Most Outrageous Moments, or a Beauty and the Geek repeat.
According to Jim (ABC): Season Finale. James Lipton (Inside the Actors Studio) guest stars and comes to collect on an old deal with Jim.

Samantha Who? (ABC): Repeat. Sam starts to think that her parents aren’t really her parents after visiting a hypnotherapist.
Samantha Who? (ABC): Repeat. Sam tries to cover up an accident in her father’s car and finds that it isn’t the first time she has been involved in something like that.

Boston Legal (ABC): Repeat. A woman is seeking advice from Alan on how to kill the man that killed her daughter, in “Hope and Gory” from this past season.

Cable Choices

Good Eats (Food Network): Repeat. Alton helps you choose the perfect grill. Plays again later.
Throwdown With Bobby Flay (Food Network): Repeat. It’s a steak battle. Plays again later.

The Andromeda Strain (A&E): New. The conclusion of the two-part miniseries where a deadly pathogen from a U.S. satellite is spreading through Utah and a reporter has found out about a government conspiracy that may be behind it. Stars Benjamin Bratt (E-Ring), Eric McCormack (Will & Grace) and Ricky Schroder (NYPD Blue) among others. Based on the novel by Michael Crichton. Runs two hours. Part one replays right before and it also replays earlier in the day twice and again in late night. All four hours plays twice tonight and two more times this Saturday night and again on Sunday afternoon.

Other Options

  • Big Break: Ka’anapali (Golf Channel): New. Tonight they’re “Cutting it Close.” Plays again later.
  • Reaper (The CW): Repeat. The “Pilot” episode replays.
  • The Office (TBS): Repeats. Michael has to go to New York on “Valentine’s Day” and then we all get to hear “Dwight’s Speech.”

  • ESPN has Tuesday Night Baseball with the Los Angeles Dodgers at the Chicago Cubs.
  • ESPN2 has WNBA action.
  • TNT has NBA playoff action with the Los Angeles Lakers at the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.
