Over on cable, Comedy Central has a Jimmy Dore: Citizen Jimmy comedy special, History Channel has a special called Warriors, and Sci fi has the 90-minute fourth season finale of Doctor Who.

Ghost Whisperer (CBS): Repeat. This just shows how bad it is in the first hour of primetime tonight that I would recommend this as the best option on network TV.

Numb3rs (CBS): Repeat. Don thinks a hit-man on death row that wants to reveal where he dumped bodies has some unknown reason to do so and sets out to figure out what that is, in “The Art of Reckoning” from season three.

Swingtown (CBS): New. Tom and Trina are ending things while Susan and Bruce want to start things up with Brad and Sylvia, but Laurie and her new boyfriend interrupt things.

Solid Selections

Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events (ABC): Released 2004. Based on the book by Lemony Snicket and stars Jim Carrey as a dastardly count that wants to steal the inheritance of three orphans that have been placed under his care.

20/20 (ABC): New. Interviews with the Jonas Brothers and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy a shown.

Cable Choices

Joan of Arcadia (Sci Fi): Repeat. Joan starts building boat in the garage and Helen fears she is started to become to eccentric. Begins 30 minutes earlier than usual because of the 90-minute Doctor Who finale tonight.

Monk (USA): New. Natalie becomes the new California Lotto girl and Monk doesn’t like all the attention she is getting, but then the lotto machine is found to have been rigged and she get drug into a scandal. Plays again later.

Psych (USA): New. Shawn notices that a daredevil’s stunts at the fair are being sabotaged. Jeff Fahey (Lost, The Marshall) guest-stars. Plays again later.

  • The Cleaner (A&E): New. Tuesday’s episode, “Meet the Joneses,” replays. Plays again later.
  • Doctor Who (Sci Fi): Season Finale. The Doctor’s companions join forces to try and stop the Davros and the Daleks from threatening the entire universe. Runs 90 minutes. Plays again later.
  • Live at Gotham (Comedy Central): New. Up and coming New York comedians perform. Hosted by Tommy Davidson.
  • Rachael Ray’s Tasty Travels (Food Network): New. Rachael visits Santa Fe and checks out some historic restaurants. Plays again later.
  • Stargate Atlantis (Sci Fi): New. The team ends up having to battle many different aliens after a malfunction with the Daedalus. Plays again later.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has round two of the Senior U.S. Open Championship golf tournament and later X Games 14 coverage.
  • ESPN2 has basketball action with the U.S. National Team very early and then later has Friday Night Fights with a super middleweight bout scheduled for 10 rounds.
  • TNT has first round coverage of the Ricoh Women’s British Open early.

TV Marathons

E! has the five-part 101 Sexiest Celebrity Bodies.
Sci Fi has eight episodes of The Outer Limits early.
