Over on cable, A&E has the fourth season finale of Criss Angel: Mindfreak, BBC America has a My Fake Baby special, and Comedy Central has the second season finale of Lewis Black’s Root of all Evil.

For DirectTV subscribers, season three of Friday Night Lights premieres tonight.

Pushing Daisies (ABC): Season Premiere. The spokes model for a honey-based cosmetics company dies after being stung to death, so Chuck goes undercover at the company. Lily tries to keep Olive from blabbing about her secret.

Private Practice (ABC): Season Premiere. Addison finds out that the practice is having money problems and Naomi is trying to keep that fact hidden. Violet tries to figure out what Cooper is hiding. Runs 61 minutes.

Dirty Sexy Money (ABC): Season Premiere. The Darlings throw Nick a big birthday bash on their yacht. Jeremy lets known his feelings for Lisa. Brian gets back with his son.

Solid Selections

Bones (FOX): New. The remains of an office manager that was not liked is found in an elevator shaft. Booth and Brennan investigate. Meanwhile, Angela and Hodgins try to figure out what their relationship is now.

Criminal Minds (CBS): New. A serial killer that has already been executed seems connected to a new string of murders the BAU are tracking.

CSI: NY (CBS): New. People are dying from radiation poisoning and it may have something to do with a certain book in the library.

Cable Choices

Feasting on Waves (Food Network): Repeat. Sunday’s episode, “Won Love,” replays. Plays again later.

Throwdown With Bobby Flay (Food Network): Repeats. First up is a “Chili” battle and then a “Chile Rellanos” battle. Both play again later.

Sons of Anarchy (FX): New. Gemma has put together a fundraiser for the town and it brings back former club members, including the person responsible for Opie’s spending time in jail. Runs 61 minutes. Plays twice and again later.

  • 90210 (The CW): Repeat. Last night’s episode, “Model Behavior,” replays.
  • Gary Unmarried (CBS): New. Gary changes clothes in front of Allison and she wants to set some new ground rules in the relationship.
  • Lipstick Jungle (NBC): New. Nico is trying to figure out how to be a widow, Victory finds a contractor that she may like for more than his building skills, and Wendy is trusted by a friend with a secret and it puts her in a tough position.
  • The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS): New. Richard wants his mother’s ring back from Christine, so he can propose to New Christine with it.

  • ESPN has college football action with Louisiana Tech at Boise State.
  • ESPN2 has Game 1 of the WNBA Finals.
  • TBS has tripleheader MLB Divisional Series playoff action with the Boston Red Sox at the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, then the Milwaukee Breweres at the Philadelphia Phillies and then the Los Angeles Dodgers at the Chicago Cubs.
