Over on cable, Food Network has the first season finale of Restaurant Express and the second season premiere of Cutthroat Kitchen, Hallmark Channel has the TV movie premiere of Finding Christmas, ION has the TV movie premiere of All I Want for Christmas, Lifetime has the first season finale of Witches of East End, Showtime has the third season finale of Homeland and the first season finale of Masters of Sex, and USA Network has the premiere of Psych: The Musical.

Prime Picks

Once Upon a Time (ABC): New. The residents of Storybrooke do whatever they can to try and stop Pan from reintroducing the curse.

Psych: The Musical (USA Network): Premiere. Shawn and Gus try to track down the maniacal playwright who has been locked away in a mental institution since he was accused of locking a critic in a theater and burning it down and has now escaped. Runs 121 minutes. Plays three times. This is a love letter…err…song for Psych fans. It really is a lot of fun and done in a way that makes sense for them to be singing and dancing. I don’t want to say any more than that, as not to ruin anything.

Solid Selections

The Simpsons (FOX): New. Tourists flood the town after a leak at the power plant causes it to snow. Marge brings in some boarders to try and raise some cash for the holidays. Runs 30 minutes.

Homeland (Showtime): Season Finale. Saul plans a last ditch rescue mission as Carrie and Brody try to evade security forces. Plays again later two times. Last week’s episode, “Big Man in Tehran,” replays earlier this evening.

Witches of East End (Lifetime): Season Finale. It is Freya’s wedding day and she receives gifts from both Dash and Killian. Joanna and Wendy finally learn who the shifter is. Mike sets out to complete his plan at any cost. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 61 minutes. Plays twice. The previous nine episodes replay leading up to the finale.

Other Options

  • Awkward. (MTV): Repeat. This past Thursday’s episode, “Karmic Relief,” replays. The previous 18 episodes replay right before.
  • Revenge (ABC): New. Emily’s plan is about to culminate as her wedding day arrives, but will things go as planned. Runs 61 minutes.
  • Masters of Sex (Showtime): Season Finale. Masters shows off his findings and doesn’t get the reaction he had hoped after some of the footage that is shown. Haas gets a job offer. Plays again later two times. Last week’s episode, “Phallic Victories,” replays earlier this evening.

  • FS1 has tripleheader college basketball action with Syracuse at St. John’s, La Salle at Villanova and Chicago State at DePaul.
