Tuesday has become quite the night of TV, too many good shows and not nearly enough time to watch them. DVRs and VCRs will be really humming tonight. I am glad to see that UPN is still playing Veronica Mars on Wednesday nights. The competition in that timeslot is almost worse on this night with House on FOX and the new hit The Unit on CBS along with Scrubs on NBC. What will you be watching tonight?
Prime Picks
American Idol (FOX): The Top 7 perform the songs of Rod Stewart.
House (FOX): A patient needs a liver and the relationship between them and the potential donor puts the team in an ethical quandary.
Boston Legal (ABC): Shirley starts seeing Ivan, believing that he has ended things with his new wife. Alan agrees to be co-counsel for Jerry Espensen, the guy who threatened Shirley with the knife.
Solid Solutions
NCIS (CBS): A cryptographer at the Pentagon who was suspected of spying is thought to have committed suicide. The team investigates.
The Unit (CBS): Bravo team’s helicopter goes down and Jonas must decide to continue with the mission.
Criminal Minds (CBS): Repeat where one of a pair of twins is kidnapped but the person actually wanted the other one. This was one of the more predictable episodes of this show yet was still pretty good.
Other Options
Gilmore Girls (WB): It is the eve of Lane and Zach’s wedding and party plans go awry everywhere.
Veronica Mars (UPN): The case of the run over dog. This sure is a tough timeslot. Not sure it is much better than from where it came. Yet it can still be seen tomorrow as well.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC): Repeat where a runaway teenager is found beaten.
Cable Choices
The Next Food Network Star (Food Network): The remaining contestants prepare a dish for the editors of TV Guide and are narrowed to the final three. Repeat from Sunday night.
The Next Food Network Star (Food Network): The final three are narrowed to two and each works with Paula Deen on their pilot episode. Then you can go to FoodNetwork.com and vote for your favorite. Voting ends Thursday night and the winner will be announced next Sunday.
Thief (FX): Episode #4 of this six part series. Runs 62 minutes and then repeats again right after.
