It looks like you best bets might just be the myriad of sporting events taking place today. We have U.S. Open golf, Stanley Cup Finals, World Cup soccer and the NCAA World Series. Check out the listing below for some ideas of what’s on the tube tonight for you viewing pleasure.

Prime Picks

Lady and the Tramp (ABC): The classic animated feature from the Wonderful World of Disney about the romance tale between a pampered pooch and her streetwise suitor. Runs two hours.

The Evidence (ABC): New. Tonight the detectives investigate the murder of a man killed while trying to swipe some wine from a restaurant while trying to figure their dating prospects on the job.

Solid Selections

CSI: NY (CBS): Repeat. A man in a superhero costume is found dead and a sports star is also found dead in his hotel room.

48 Hours Mystery (CBS): Repeat. Two college students who wrote a script that involved a murder may have borrowed from real life for their story. At least that is what some think so police from the U.S. and Canada work together to figure out what the truth really is. Sounds like and episode of CSI: Miami from this past season. Runs two hours.

Cable Choices

Emeril Live (Food Network): New. Emeril gets you ready for summer time parties.

Trading Spaces (TLC): New. A couple of online daters who have never met trade spaces, Holy gimmick, Batman!

Surf N’ Turf (Food Network): New. Who couldn’t use a little food while at the beach?

Other Options

  • Blackbeard (Hallmark): Another telling of the story of the pirate Blackbeard and his adventures in the 1800s. Runs three hours.
  • Sizzling Summer Destinations (Food Network): New. Favorite food destinations for the summer are explored and profiled.
  • The Wedding Singer (VH1): Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore and the 80s. What more could you ask for in a comedy? Runs two hours.

Sports Notes

  • ABC has a couple of World Cup Soccer matches early with the second game being the U.S. versus Italy.
  • ESPN has two NCAA College World Series games today.
  • FOX has MLB Baseball with the game in my area being the hometown Seattle Mariners and the visiting San Francisco Giants.
  • NBC has third round coverage of the U.S. Open golf tournament with no Tiger Woods. Looks like even par may win this thing. What do you think? That will be followed later by Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals with Edmonton trying to tie up the series at home.

Late Night

  • MADtv (FOX): Repeat. Features a parody of the Oscars and Jason Mraz performs.
  • Saturday Night Live (NBC): Repeat. Host Dane Cook and musical guest James Blunt. Read a review.
