Next week NBC begins playing the remaining episodes of Kidnapped. At least they are giving the few fans that did watch, which included me, a resolution to the plot making it like a 13 part mini series. It looks like sports will be your best bet tonight on the tube with plenty of action to choose from. Whether you like baseball, football, golf or racing there is something for every sports fan.

Primetime Sports Coverage (ABC, FOX, NBC): Pick your sport tonight on the tube. ABC has Arizona State vs. USC or Michigan vs. Penn State on Saturday Night Football. FOX has Game 3 of the NLCS between the St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Mets. NBC has NASCAR Racing as the Chase for the Nextel Cup continues.
Solid Selections
Close to Home (CBS): Repeat. This episode, “Sex, Toys and Videotape,†is from near the end of the first season. Annabeth is prosecuting a case when she learns the victim had a secret that her friends and family had no knowledge of.
Cold Case (CBS): Repeat. This episode, “The Hen House,†is from near the end of season three. It was about a woman in 1945 that was ambitious but kept writing an advice column instead of hard news.
48 Hours Mystery (CBS): New. A wicked murder plot involving a personal trainer and his girlfriends is investigated.
Cable Choices
Final Days of Planet Earth (Hallmark): Released 2006. Two people must find another person who holds the key to saving earth from bug like creatures that pose as human that are on their way. Runs three hours. It stars Campbell Scott (Six Degrees), Daryl Hannah (Splash) and Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal).
Other Options
- Trading Spaces (TLC): New. Doug and Hildi are challenged every step of the way to get the rooms the owners would actually like to have and not whatever far out idea the designers want to try this week.

- ESPN has college football with Minnesota at Wisconsin early and Auburn vs. Florida late.
- ESPN has college football with Iowa at Indiana early and Auburn vs. Florida late aswell.
- FOX has doubleheader MLB Playoff action with Game 4 of the Oakland A’s vs. the Detroit Tigers followed by Game 3 of the St. Louis Cardinals vs. the New York Mets.
- FOX Sports has college football games including in my area the Washington Huskies vs. the Oregon State Beavers. Go Dawgs!
- NBC has the third round of the Samsung World Championship LPGA event early and NASCAR later.
