Tonight, CBS has the season premiere of Big Brother 9 and the second season premiere of Jericho.
Over on cable, Discovery Channel has the season finale of Some Assembly Required, Oxygen has the third season finale of The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, TBS has the second season finale of 10 Items or Less and USA has the closing night of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
In writers’ strike news, a vote is supposed to be taken today and writers could be back to work as of tomorrow. Kristin over at E! Online has another list, to go along with the three from yesterday, to give you an idea of what shows will be coming back with new episodes this season and how many of them we might be able to expect.

Prime Picks
American Idol (FOX): New. It is finally Hollywood week, which means we are going to find out who the 24 singers are. That means the real competition is about to start. Runs two hours.
Jericho (CBS): Season Premiere. The first of seven episodes has the new Cheyenne government putting an end to the battle between Jericho and New Bern. Power and communications are brought back online. If you watch one thing tonight, this is the show you should watch. Grab a bag of nuts, sit back and enjoy this second season and hopefully we will get more.
Solid Selections
NCIS (CBS): Repeat. A naval officer is about to jump, but the team is trying to talk him in, when the attempted suicide turns into murder. Look for five to nine more episodes to be shot after the strike.
One Tree Hill (The CW): New. Everyone is gathering a Tric to watch The Honorary Title put on a show. Carrie thinks it is her chance to get closer to Nathan. Brooke gets Mouth to go on a blind date. Lindsey gets into it with Lucas about sneaking off to see Peyton. Today is the last day to enter four a chance at one of two season four DVD sets being given away. There are five pre-strike episodes remaining after tonight and it looks like they will be adding five or six more to that once the strike is officially over.
Boston Legal (ABC): New. Jerry’s got a girlfriend and she is warning people to stay away from him. Alan is asked to take on the case of a woman suing her town after the start plans to build a nuclear power plant there. It looks like there could be four to seven more episode shot after the strike.
Cable Choices
Good Eats (Food Network): Repeats. Alton uses honey and then melons. Both episodes replay later.
Dirty Jobs (Discovery Channel): New. Mike works a rice plantation. Last week’s episode, “Cranberry Farmer,” replay right before. Both episodes play again later.
Nip/Tuck (FX): New. A TV critic reviews Sean and the reason behind Julia’s bad health is revealed. Runs 62 minutes and plays twice.
Other Options
- Bones (TNT): Repeat. Episode three of season one, “A Boy in a Tree,” replays, where an ambassador’s son is found hanging from a tree.
- The Office (TBS): Repeats. Michael heads to “Business School,” as a guest speaker for Ryan. Then it’s time for “Cocktails,” where Michael and Jan make their relationship public.
Sports Notes
- ESPN has doubleheader college basketball with Michigan State at Purdue followed by Kentucky at Vanderbilt.
- ESPN2 has North Carolina at Virginia in college basketball action.
- NBA TV has the Detroit Pistons at the Atlanta Hawks.
- Versus has doubleheader NHL action.
Late Night
- 10 Items or Less (TBS):
Season FinaleNew. Todd wins some cows playing poker and wants use them to sell fresher meat at the store. Meanwhile, Buck is attempting to make Richard look manlier. Plays again later. Update: It looks as thought the season finale will actually be on March 4th.

Oxygen has 10 episodes of The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency.
Sci Fi has eight episodes of Jake 2.0 early, the last three of which never aired on UPN back when it was cancelled.
Spike TV has five episodes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation tonight.
