News & Notes

Get It's Always Sunny Episodes via Amazon Video On DemandTonight, ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC have the first presidential debate; at least I think they are. The CW will be airing WWE Friday Night Smackdown! for the last time on the network. It begins playing next week on MyNetworkTV.

Over on cable, Animal Planet has the first season finale of Grizzly Man Diaries and CMT has the second season finale of Gone Country and a Country Fried Home Videos special.

I’m a little under the weather, so the promised posting of interviews yesterday didn’t end up happening yesterday, but I will try to get to them in the near future. Also, there isn’t really much on tonight anyway, but the picks today are a bit on the abbreviated side as well.

Next week will be when most of the Friday night shows premiere.

Prime Pick

The Mentalist (CBS): Repeat. The first episode replays tonight, either before or after the debate, depending on your time zone. If you missed it on Tuesday, you should definitely give it a shot. It is very good, one of my new favorites for fall.

Cable Choices

Stargate Atlantis (Sci Fi): Repeat. The fourth season finale episode, “The Last Man,” replays.

Stargate Atlantis (Sci Fi): Repeat. Last week’s episode, “Tracker,” replays.

Stargate Atlantis (Sci Fi): New. Dr. Daniel Jackson makes an appearance and he and McKay have to keep an ancient weapon that has reactivated from going off. Plays again later.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has MLB action with the Chicago Cubs at the Milwaukee Brewers.
  • ESPN2 has college football action with Connecticut at Louisville.

Late Night

  • It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX): Repeat. Last night’s two new episodes replays.

TV Marathons

Oxygen has 20 episodes of Snapped.
Sci Fi has eight episodes of Stargate SG-1 early.
Spike has six episodes of CSI: NY that play twice.
