Find Dexter Episodes via Amazon Video On DemandOn cable tonight, Lifetime has second season finale of Army Wives, HBO has the first season finale of Little Britain USA, Sci Fi has the TV movie premiere of Battle Planet, and Showtime has the third season premiere of Brotherhood.

In cancelled show news, Easy Money and Valentine have both been. Also, FOX has cancelled King of the Hill, but it will continue to air through the end of its 13th season.

Prime Picks

The Simpsons (FOX): New. It’s “Treehouse of Horror XIX,” where Lisa and Milhouse wait in the pumpkin patch for the Grand Pumpkin.
King of the Hill (FOX): New. Hank thinks it is stupid, but Strickland Propane creates a MySpace page to try and drum up more business.

Desperate Housewives (ABC): New. Lynette thinks Tom is having an affair. Mrs. McCluskey gets her sister to help dig up some info on Dave. Runs 61 minutes.

Brothers & Sisters (ABC): New. Nora wants to keep Holly away from William’s son.

Solid Selections

The Amazing Race (CBS): New. A windstorm wreaks havoc and a budding romance may be causing some problems.

Cold Case (CBS): New. The team reopens a case from 1981 when the body of a single mother is found in a car trunk.

The Unit (CBS): New. The team cooks up a phony attack in hopes of getting a terrorist to expose some of his accomplices.

Cable Choices

Brotherhood (Showtime): Season Premiere. Tommy is thinking of changing careers, but it’s a risky one. Rose is trying to hide that she is getting sick. Plays again later. I don’t normally watch this show, but I’ve seen this episode and it is very good and gritty. If you’d like to check out the episode, you can watch it online. Use password: brothers

Dexter (Showtime): New. Dexter is testing Miguel and Rita is wondering about her career opportunities after losing her job. Plays again later.

Army Wives (Lifetime): Season Finale. The Holdens are contemplating a huge move. Frank stays overseas leaving Denise more time to figure out what she wants. Last week’s episode, “Departures, Arrivals,” replays right before. Both play again later.

Other Options

  • Californication (Showtime): New. Hank tries to find Lew’s long lost love, which is played by Madchen Amick (who is in just about everything this season: Gossip Girl, My Own Worst Enemy). A Rolling Stone reporter is following Mia. Charlie lets his house become the set for the movie he is producing. This is another good episode. Plays twice.
  • Chef Jeff Project (Food Network): New. A meal is prepared for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Plays again later.
  • Entourage (HBO): New. Vince is dealing with jitters being on the first day of shooting the movie.
  • Skins (BBC America): New. Michelle and friends go camping for her birthday. Plays again later.

  • ABC has NASCAR racing with the Sprint Cup: Dickies 500.
  • CBS has NFL action.
  • ESPN has college football action with East Carolina at Central Florida.
  • FOX has NFL action.
