Get Prison Break Episodes via Amazon Video On DemandTonight, FOX has the fall finale of Prison Break and NBC has a Today Looks Back 2008: A Holiday Special.

Over on cable, A&E has a Runaway Squad special, ESPN has the 39th season finale of Monday Night Football, HBO has the TV movie premiere of My Zinc Bed, MTV has the fourth season finale of The Hills, and TLC has the fifth season finale of Little People, Big World.

Prime Picks

The Big Bang Theory (CBS): Repeat. This season’s premiere episode, “The Bad Fish Paradigm,” replays, where Penny and Leonard go down in flames after one date and Sheldon is unwilling to be Penny’s confidant.
How I Met Your Mother (CBS): Repeat. The “Slapsgiving” episode, one of the best of the series, from season three replays. It is the first Thanksgiving for Lily and Marshall after being married and Barney is waiting for Marshall to collect on the slap bet.

Prison Break (FOX): New. Someone gets arrested and someone dies, as Lincoln leads a group to Miami to try and get Scylla back. I’ve not heard anything on when the season will conclude, but it should be back sometime next year.

CSI: Miami (CBS): Repeat. The “Guerillas in the Mist” episode from season six replays, where the team is searching for an illegal machine gun after it is used to vaporize some weapons smugglers.

Solid Selections

Shrek the Halls (ABC): Repeat. Shrek was hoping for a cozy Christmas at home, but things don’t go as planned. Runs 30 minutes.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (ABC): Released 2005. The remake of the classic has Johnny Depp as the oddball candy maker giving a tour of his factory to some lucky children. Runs 2.5 hours.

Cable Choices

The Princess Bride (Bravo): Released 1987. The story of a stable boy that goes off to save the woman he loves from being married to the wrong prince. Runs two hours. Plays twice.

Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives (Food Network): Repeats. Guy is searching for “Something Different” and then seeks out those who are “Doin’ There Own Thing.” Both play again later.

Other Options

  • Gossip Girl (The CW): Repeat. This is the one where Serena and Blair go at it during a Yale campus visit, as “New Haven Can Wait” from this season repalsy.
  • House (FOX): Repeat. House is auditioning for a new best friend while the team is trying to save two people that received diseased organs in a transplant, in “Not Cancer” from earlier this season.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has Monday Night Football action with the Green Bay Packers at the Chicago Bears.
  • NBA TV has the Toronto Raptors at the Los Angeles Clippers.
  • Versus has NHL hockey action.

Late Night

  • Psych (USA): Repeat. This season’s Christmas episode, “Christmas Joy,” replays.

Discovery Channel has six episodes of The FBI Files.
E! has the five-part 101 Most Unforgettable SNL Moments.
MTV has 13 episodes of My Super Sweet 16 Remix early.
Oxygen has 22 episodes of Living Single.
Spike has three James Bond movies.
TNT has five episodes of Law & Order.
Travel Channel has 12 episodes of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations.
