They will be going out by replaying first episodes of some of their hit shows. These include: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Felicity and Dawson’s Creek. The Simpsons (FOX): New. The White Stripes sing for Bart after a tiger mangles him. Runs 30 minutes.
The Amazing Race (CBS): Season Premiere. This season starts off here in my hometown of Seattle, as the teams have to make their way out and to China for the next leg of the event in the race for the one million dollars. Runs 90 minutes.

Desperate Housewives (ABC): Repeat. See how the ladies all came to live on Wisteria Lane in the finale from last season. The new season begins next Sunday in its normal timeslot.

Solid Selections

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (ABC): New. Back-to-back episodes with Marlee Matlin as guest team leader helps the team help a family with several blind members as a preview for the new season that gets underway next week. Runs two hours.

Without a Trace (CBS): Repeat. Last season’s finale, “Crossroads,” replays with guest star Jason Priestly. The new season begins on the 24th.

Cable Choices

Three Moons Over Milford (ABC Family): New. The residents of the town begin to tell all about themselves when the priest decides to give up on his profession.

Iron Chef America (Food Network): New. Iron Chef Bobby Flay versus Chef John Dechellis.

Angela’s Eyes (Lifetime): New. Angela is shot from and unsuspecting person from her past.

Other Options

  • Brotherhood (Showtime): New. The long forgotten father of Tommy and Michael makes a return.
  • Nip/Tuck (FX): Repeat. Last week’s episode, “Blu Mondae,” replays. Runs 63 minutes.
  • The Wire (HBO): New. Herc’s job takes a weird turn while the prosecutor gives out a subpoena and much, much, more.

Sports Notes

  • CBS has NFL Football games.
  • ESPN has PGA final round golf coverage and later Sunday Night Baseball with the Boston Red Sox at the New York Yankees.
  • FOX has NFL Football games including the Seattle Seahawks at home against the Arizona Cardinals, which is the game I will be watching.
  • NBC has Sunday Night Football with the Washington Redskins at the Dallas Cowboys. Football Night in America precedes it.
  • TNT has NASCAR Racing.
