Tonight, NBC has the second season premiere of Chuck and the second season premiere of Life.
Over on cable, HBO has a Taxi to the Dark Side special and VH1 has the first hour of the five-part 100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs.

Chuck (NBC): Season Premiere. Chuck tries to prevent a device from ending up in the wrong hands, as it is the final piece of the new intersect that is about to go online. Read my review.
Heroes (NBC): New. Four of the recently escaped villains take hostages at a bank and HRG is sent to capture them with his new partner. Claire wants to learn how to fight. Suresh continues to deal with the side effects of his newly induced powers.
Life (NBC): Season Premiere. Numbered trunks are showing up around Los Angeles with dead bodies inside, Det. Crews and Det. Reese trying to find the perp before he does it again. Read my review.

The Big Bang Theory (CBS): New. Leonard sees Penny with a good-looking new guy and decides to start thing up again with Leslie Winkle, played by Sara Gilbert (Roseanne).
How I Met Your Mother (CBS): New. Marshall is on a quest for the best burger in New York and runs into Regis Philbin.
Prison Break (FOX): New. Michael and the rest go after another card at a racetrack. Wyatt goes after Agent Self. T-Bag may have figured out Whistler’s code.
CSI: Miami (CBS): New. Gas has gotten so expensive that people are killing for it and the team investigates a crime ring that is taking advantage of the situation.
Cable Choices
Good Eats (Food Network): Repeat. Alton tells you all you need to know about cooking oils. Plays again later.
How’d That Get on My Plate? (Food Network): New. See how corn goes from the stalk to the food we love to eat. Plays again later.
The Closer (TNT): Repeat. Episode two from this past season, “Speed Bump,” replays, where the team is investigating a hit and run case.
Raising the Bar (TNT): New. Jerry is defending a guy that may have killed a young boy and when the case starts to draw big media attention, Balco takes over the prosecution. Plays again later.

- Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives (Food Network): New. Guy takes you to places that provide “Big Flavor.” A repeat episode follows. Both play again later.
- Gossip Girl (The CW): New. Blair sets out to ruin her mother’s fashion show after she finds out that she gave Serena and a new friend front row tickets. Dan is hanging out with Chuck for some reason. And, Lily finds out something about her new husband. Not sure about the new/old Serena.
- One Tree Hill (The CW): New. Nathan gets an offer from a pro team. Haley finds out what happened to Dan and ends up putting Jamie in danger.
- Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX): New. Cameron has another glitch and goes missing for a while. Agent Ellison starts digging into the past of Catherine Weaver. The Cameron origin story looks like it might be really good.
- Two and a Half Men (CBS): New. Alan lends Charlie some money and then goes over the line to get it back.
- Unwrapped (Food Network): New. Get a look behind some of your favorite movie snacks. A repeat episode follows. Both play again later.
